Hey all small correction: only Lady can target any ranged enemy she likes, everyone else automatically targets the closest enemy so I did that wrong here.

30:44, you have to discard at random, though (which would be to shuffle face down and then select as my understanding). The music sort of sounds like We Will Never Surrender part of the theme from DMC4.

Orbs never get auto collected if more than 1. One is dropped where the enemy dies and the others are put in adjacent spots at choice of the Devil Hunter playing.

It looks like a really cool game, specially considering how they integrate the different moves and combos from the video game; the only thing I do not like is the board. I know it's supposed to represent a very specific part of the game, but it looks kinda dull, I would have prefered it if it looked like a street or some other section in a city or something.

So I got this game for Christmas, and I have played 3 rounds with 2 people and 1 round with 1 person (me). I love it but I cannot decide which expansion to buy first.

haha exactly the same for me. Got it for christmas. played 2 times with friends and one time alone. But will probably go for the Arsenal Expansion because there is Lady and new enemies.

This looks really fun, somehow they're managed to translate the feel of DMC combat into a tabletop which means I can cancel the 5e conversion I was writing to add DMC chars into D&D lol I'm interested in seeing more of this, expansions content is up to you but I'd definitely like to see Lady at least if you're limiting expansion content Couple of things I noticed/ wanted to ask during this video: Does Exceed apply to Nero's arms (attacks like overture)? I wouldn't think they're sword attacks because the sword isn't involved right? I also think you forgot to claim the bonus style from the finisher used on the combo at around 30:00 minutes into the video, again at 53:00~

Exceed probably doesn't apply to his arm attacks, no. I don't recall forgetting a combo finisher bonus but that's possible.

@@FliksTabletopGaming I know, 2 years later. Exceed applies to his arm attacks. As the card says "Nero's Melee attacks" and the game defines melee as attacks that have the hex diagram which Nero's arms have. Though I wouldn't fault not doing so, as in-game. Exceed only applies to Nero's sword attacks. Could say being faithful to the original that way.

2 years later, i know. Yes, it's perfectly legal. The blank cards are essentially "combo filler" passing the color of the link out chain of the previous card to the next. This includes the initial yellow chain in the hunter's board. In the video games, this is represented as the characters shooting, which is something the player can do easily to act as "filler" in their combos or to stun the enemy from afar to get close without needing to dodge attacks.

Loving the look of this game thinking about getting it. Looking at the banking points from you're combo do you think it is possible to do a combo then save it on your next turn to add new cards to it from your new hand to get the 10?+ combos

Yup that’s how it works as long as you don’t get hit if can keep going. I didn’t realise that until further in the play through.

did you ever figure out what happens when a monster enters a zone that an orb is occupying??

Upon thinking about it the orbs are meant to be flat cutouts; the 3D ones were a bonus thing, so the monster would probably just stand on them until moved or killed.

Do you have to dischard combo even if your turn end or only if u get hit?

I believe they clarified that you can keep a combo between turns as long as you don’t get hit.

Is nero stronger than dante? I have played with my bro and he destroyed me. I mean after some upgrades from shop nero min combo is 8 cards and I tried to do my best but in the late game I can't do anything to get better style points. Is that my fault that I don't understand dante character enough or nero is too broken?

I only did solo mode so can’t really comment. Dante’s Devil Trigger is exceptionally strong but I never tried Nero’s.
