I had the same feeling between this time of 2020 (and before) so I had to revisite all other Orange Cat productions... Cecil has one of the greatest voices for putting detail and feeling around documentaries. My suggestion is to check out the In Search of Darkness.

Some KZbin subscriptions come and go for me. I watch everything I can then some bright and shiny new channel lures me away. But Cecil and Good Bad Flicks has been a constant for me for years. A new Cecil video always brings a smile to my face.

Also, his humility is a joy. It is easy to rag on people for not living up to impossible standards. It is wonderful to see someone who looks to the best in people whilst lauding their best efforts. I think he would have made a really good school teacher.

The right soundtrack could have sold this movie and made it a hit. Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting would be a natural. And when Tanzania Warhawk has that argument with the cop, they could have followed the scene with Eric Clapton performing, "Before you accuse me, you better take a look at yourself".

Thanks. I've been stuck at 330k-ish for a long time now. I had a huge spike in 2019 but KZbin changed the system (back when they broke the ability to track subs on socialblade) and I haven't been able to gain the same traction again. Oh well, I'll still keep plugging along.

I can't believe this video had no mention of Brother Theodore. He was a truly unique comic. He called his act, "stand-up tragedy." Devil's Express is one of his many film appearances including The Burbs, Nocturna: Dracula's Granddaughter, The Last Unicorn, the animated Lord of the Rings films and The Invisible Kid.

WOW! That ending lol in fact, NO! I even struggle calling that a ending. The film literally just stopped. I mean I've heard and seen movies that felt like the director just stopped the movie without giving it a proper ending, but THIS movie really takes the cake lol The acting and the "plot" is crazy too. I watched this movie because I work in the subway and I love spotting all the places in the city that were used. Definitely a fun movie, but there are numerous moments that are really dull. I think Central Park was used for historic China. Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Central Park for Hong Kong. 135 subway station for the platform shots and maybe 42nd street Lower for the scenes on the tracks. I love 1970's NY and miss it.
