Played disc golf at the course in the '90s and got frogs from the dam itself as a kid in the '60s. Hadn't seen any water in the thing in years before I left CA.

Exactly. Also some kids were walking thru it in the 1950s when it was dry and one or two disappeared when they were not seen for a few seconds. Someone turned and then looked again and the kid or kids were gone. Also Parsons was associated wit L Ron Hubbard and Aleister Crowley. All kinds of weirdness with those people and NASA.

In dry times that creek/stream would be a dry trickle, but when it rains heavy then you would get those flash flood type flows that would come down that hill with a nice water fall and blow out the Rose Bowl and the golf course around it, and continue down from there into that canyon where the 134 and the bridge crosses over
