Devil's Pulpit, Glasgow, Scotland

Devil's Pulpit at Finnich Glen is just a short drive north of Glasgow, Scotland, near Loch Lomond in the United Kingdom. A short, but deep, river (also known as a burn) gorge cuts through the Scottish landscape, creating a mystical place with gorge walls covered with verdant green moss and colorful red water. The gorge has been featured in a few TV shows and movies, yet many people don't know about the area and the awesome hiking it offers.

Yes, was there with my dad a few months ago. It was amazing. Need to careful tho, I did however fall into about 2 ft water and didn’t even see it lol. Got a few cuts oan my legs and that but yeah. But my dad and his friend jumped off about a 15 ft cliff thing into the water and apparently the water was so deep that they couldn’t feel the bottom, but the water was absolutely freezing and we went in June or July so a wouldn’t recommend going anytime soon. And be careful if u do go because the rocks and all that are dangerous because we did get a few scratches and cuts on our legs. And another thing, as u walk deeper the water starts getting heavier and harder to walk in.

Hey Cathy..how deep is the water ascending up to the first waterfall? me and the wife will be doing this location in a couple of weeks as she wants some shots (shes a photographer).....would the water level be higher than say, top of wellies or is this a stick a pair of trainers on job and wade up?

Hi! It can get up to waist deep and even deeper, but it's knee deep if you stay close to the side of the canyon. I wore pants that I rolled up to my knees and I was fine, but it will probably drown your wellies. :( I hope you have a great trip! I've got more videos coming!

Don't want to be a party pooper but this is a dangerous place for the uninitiated. Rescue teams are regularly called out for injured walkers and two dogs have died there in recent years. 😒
