One can only assume that the Devil was using the Moses' straw man as an arguement to make claim over the body of Moses, much like is done today.

Dr. Heiser says here, that, Moses wasn't accused of any unrighteousness? I've often wondered if it was because Moses murdered a man, whether he be an Egyptian slave/task master who was being harsh, doesn't account/authorize someone to take a person's life, which Moses appears to do? I'd imagine that would be one of the reasons the accuser would say Moses wasn't worthy?

After that Mount of Transfiguration event, I don't think Moses's body remains dead and buried. He was already in a glorified state with Elijah and the Lord that day, having a sort of private briefing on what is to take place during the 70th week, where the two would very likely be the two witnesses of Rev 11. They sing the song OF MOSES in Rev 15, so Moses would have to be involved. No point returning Moses's body to burial after that Transfiguration event.

Moses was a type of Christ. Obviously he was not perfect, but his being barred from entering Canaan was because of the people's strife and causing him to sin. They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes: 106v32

Zechariah 3:1-3 The Satan here _is_ Satan proper. Heiser is just wrong. The fact that Satan is present at the death of Moses at least implies that The Accuser is bringing charges against Moses. The idea that it has to be explicit isn't something a ancient Jew would require.

Heiser looks at it from ancient writer's perspective; instead, look at it from satan's perspective. After all, OT writers are supposed to write what they see and hear. Satan is an Angel, not one of the Son's-of-God, so satan can't have children through procreation. Satan can however have a child in a test-tube (in other words, through gene-splicing, genetic-modification, etc.). Angels sing, Angels cast down fire, Angels have many skills, but genetics is not among their skills. Son's-of-God otoh, are experts at genetics. Let's say satan wants a "son?" Satan will need DNA to accomplish such a feat. DNA and Son's-of-God to accomplish the hybrid/chimera. And in the Son's-of-God way, they tell satan to bring them DNA. Which DNA does satan want for his son? Does he want DNA from his most favored evil human disciple? Or does satan want God's most favored DNA? Remember, satan envies God the Father and wants to replace Him as Most-High. So of course satan wants Moses' DNA. DNA which with to give to the condemned Genesis6 Son's-of-God so they can make him a test-tube son. Just like Son's-of-God made pre-flood chimera human/horses (Minotaurs) and Lion-headed/Eagles (Gryphons) - in a test-tube. Whichever DNA satan ultimately handed-over to Gen6 Son's-of-God, they mixed-in Son's-of-God DNA too (as is their want). Part satan, part Son's-of-God (like a Nephilim) and part human. Not Moses DNA apparently, but DNA from some human.
