You keep pulling out a crazy guitar MORE insane than the last. Amazing

For the DiMarzio strap, I like putting the buttons back on too as a backup, so in an emergency you can still use a normal strap. You just need longer screws.

That is sensible, it did always big me thatbyou are then stuck with their strap.

Use green loctite on the the threads. One drip roll wick down and loc the nut with anaerobic action wipe the.extra bit with a tissue and leave it on your bench and check to see if it Bern’s wiping again. ( if it does you used too much)

Which system are you talking about?

Check out the Lekato Strap locks. They are like the Fender Infinity Locks or the Ernie Ball Super Locks. I put them on my GGBO build trying to alleviate the button in the rib cage pain of standard strap locks being so thick and pointy. So far they seem to be reliable and effective as well as far less panful. You can even counter sink the button itself into the guitar to get an even lower fitment like I did. They also have a decent look to them.
@DevilAndSons2 жыл бұрын
I just did a quick Google, they look cool. I plan to catch up on all the ggbo builds next week - I was so overwhelmed trying to keep up before that I stopped completely. Looking forward to seeing your final build.

@@DevilAndSons Oh COOL!! That would be greatly appreciated mate. I got several covers posted already with it.

I saw the covers in my feed, will definitely watch. I've hardly watched any KZbin for weeks so looking forward to a few adternoons devoted to ggbo viewing.

Why aren’t there any guitar strap mounts that are like a circle and the strap ends are locking hooks. I think EVH used these. Seems like that would fix everything but good luck finding them .
@DevilAndSons3 ай бұрын
If I picture what you are saying correctly, wouldn't they come off if you lifted the guitar slightly so there wasn't any weight on the hook?
@DNYS8N3 ай бұрын
You can see EVH is using something like this on the Human Beings official video. It’s like a J with a spring snap or arm that is closed but lets you spring it open. The tricky part is putting some kind of strap mount on the guitar for it to fasten into.

I use the rubber rings, and a few of the third style locking pins
@DevilAndSons2 жыл бұрын
The rubber rings are such a simple solution, I think I would give these a go if I were gigging again. I always used that third pin type too, and had s fee break on me!
@PooNinja2 жыл бұрын
@@DevilAndSons I like the rubber rings because then you can change your strap if you want to without any tools or strong fingers in my case.
@DevilAndSons2 жыл бұрын
I had a few different straps lying around, in bags and cases with that system on it, but occasionally they didn't match up as I had bought a few cheap makes... those rings would have been much easier.

@@DevilAndSons I’ve had that issue too. It’s like come on use a standard, it’s like the pickup manufacturers using whatever color wire the want for humbuckers so ya gotta test em(or read the manual … like that ever happens) to know what’s hot what’s ground . I guess until we all use one language and one standard of measurement earth will be confusing and exciting. Have a great weekend Sir Ps. Check out CGS tomorrow, Mike has a surprisingly familiar narrator🤫😂.

Pickup wire colour swapping is as bad as when cheese and onion crisps switched from their normal green bags to blue sometime in the early 90s, why?! I will definitely have a listen tomorrow!
@secallen6 ай бұрын
The nut and washer on the blue style work their way undone - and the strap falls off with no warning. Rubber is better. Cheap enough to replace every gig if you want. Best is to bolt the strap onto the guitar permanently.
@DevilAndSons5 ай бұрын
Ha. I always liked the aesthetic of the gaffer tape "bolt on" but worried about the finish. True, those blue ones (especially the cheap ones) can come undone, it's happened to me on stage. Defeats the point really.

Investigate the different options before choosing. They vary in price and style. I like the Dunlop 7036 style.

The rubber rings pop off les pauls
@DevilAndSons11 ай бұрын
That's odd, I wonder if the les Paul's have strange strap pins. Have you noticed it on multiple LPs? I'm sure they're what my old guitarist used on his.

I haven’t tried the rubber washers on my LP but I have noticed my Strat strap buttons are slightly wider than the ones in my LP. Maybe that’s a factor
@DevilAndSons11 ай бұрын
That's interesting. I definitely prefer adding the slightly larger ones to my own builds.
