Thanks for sharing this information. But I use the 3M pps, and for me is working. Now there are some aftermarket copy. Works good. Are less expensive. This two systems you show are expensive, they don’t want to copy 3M, but at the end is the same idea. 3M is very versatile. Thanks again.

Great comparison. I think you’d like PPS better. Now that their patten is up on the version 1, the knockoffs of it r pretty cheap. I get my 6oz ones $50 for 50 lids, liners, and a hard cup. And u can get 4 extra hard cupZ for under $20 too. I’ve never had a leak or any type of issue. The strainers are built into the lids too, less parts and assume less hassle that way.

Haven’t had the pleasure of using 3ms pps system just yet , where did you buy the knockoffs? Alibaba?

I like the PPS, but I will always remember a painter at my old work the first day that shop was trial-running them... The lid caught the side of the liner and so it didn't seal right and the paint poured on his hand the first job he was using them on. He took the dispenser off the wall and tossed it in the bin immediately.

Definitely should try the 3m cups. It’s a preference but man do I like the original pps cups way better than the 2.0 version

The disposable cups are great, especially when doing a tri-stage with the same gun..😊

I work at a vo-tech school and we mostly use the SATA RPS and I love them. They're quick, easy, and nearly idiot-proof (which is important when dealing with students who have never painted). We also use all SATA guns (3000s, 5000s, and 5500X's depending on the student's skill level [Canadian Apprenticeship has levels]), so that factors into it a bit as well. I think it's always nice to have some 3m PPS cups around too for when a liner system's advantages shine (undercarriage, rockers, etc.), but I find that if you don't get the lids and liner just right you can have it not seal properly and leak all over your hand and gun (just like the DeKups).

I like the dekups for the DIY use you can get a starter set cheap and you can even clean them and reuse them.....the Sata's RPS work well in a pro setting where the cost of the cups are figured into the job. And you didn't mention the PPS 3M ones which there are new version 2.0 I think? I like using the original PPS ones also and are a little more affordable than the RPS, and spray upside down. I say if your a pro go Sata or PPS 3M.... For DIY dekups all the way. Not that you can't get a regular gun cup and get great results it's a matter of what your comfortable with.

I like the original pps cups better than the 2.0 I like the cost too. Dekups are solid too. I like using both at home garage.

@@Whitening98 absolutely.. . I like the original PPS and a set of them for a DIY guy will last a while and make cleanup easier.

Nice review brotha! Haven’t used to the sata cups but I’m invested into the dekups system and have no complaints yet I would like to try the 3m system heard a lot of good things about it

I’m in the same bought I like the dekups and pretty much invested in it , but I got a demo kit with the Sata and decided to try it out it’s ok I just don’t like the vent cap idea, pours paint all over ther table if you forget to put it on

What is the adapter part number for the sata jet with dcups?

You didn’t show that you are supposed to be able to mix directly into the DeKups liner. The hard cup has a flat side and an index card which was sitting on your bench. Not the greatest solution, but it is possible to do. If you mix your paint directly in the cups, Sata PPS is way better. But you have to master the vent clips, which are also the storage clips. You get two on each lid- one for the bottom, one for the top. I’ve also used the 3M RPS 2.0 - Which i think is expensive and was more effort to use correctly (for me). Probably for a shop with huge throughput, it could work well with the disposable gun heads. I’m not a huge fan of pulling thd trigger on them, haha. For me it’s DeKups if you want a disposable liner system. Sata PPS for the win if you prefer to mix and spray from the same hard cup. Depending on material, it’s possible to clean & reuse the Sata hard cups if you’re a casual user as they are really robust and can stand up to cleaning with acetone.
