Ive done that combo many times off the zenshin 1 into back 2 1 you literally just have to do it fast before he touches the ground fully no dash needed

Has nothing to do with controller. If u cant do it on pad you can never do it on stick nor mixbox

Buying a stick or hitbox will make it easier for you to do combos and advanced moves like EWGF. But it won’t make you a better player. I’d recommend a hitbox or Arcade stick.

I struggle with it too but have gotten a more consistent by looking at command notions, it shows the direction buttons pressed to show if you made an error and also for how many frames, to show how off you are timing wise

Try to input 2 at the same time as moving down, obviously 2 is meant to be imputed the same time down right or down left is pressed, but because the timing is much harder to time with the precision and speed of using a controller, trying to press 2 and down at the same time works like imputing 2 and down right or down left at the same time. Also i found that trying to do the move really quickly ontop of the timing of pressing 2 helps

Press 2 and down forward at the exact same time when you do the input, do this over and over and over until you see an electric, and then keep doing it until you can get three in a row. After that just practice it while waiting for matches and also try to do it while dashing in/wavedashing etc. it’s gonna take a long time but eventually it just kinda clicks in your muscle memory, no easy way to do it once you know the input other than repetition.
