Devin Hester was a phenomenal player to watch. I remember watching that Colts/Bears Super Bowl and watching Hester run the opening kickoff back was amazing to see. I think, that is when he cemented his legacy.

This is a perfect example of our learned "master-slave" mentality that has been pervasive since the founding of our country. That coach felt entitled to this man as his property and when this man stood up for himself, that coach tried to show this man (Hester) that he wasn't an individual, but the coaches property. The coach tried to show Hester how powerless Hester was compared to the coaches power. Just another way that those with power view the average person/worker as the employer's property.
