I got my chug styled riffs from what I learned about Devin Townsend's technique of digging the pick into the strings a la Addicted. Addicted was also my workout album. He's an amazing metal musician!

It's crazy that Devin thinks anyone is getting impatient waiting for more music, it always feels like to me that just as I'm finishing up with listening to one record there's another one right around the corner. It never feels like a long wait, and there seems to be an endless fount of incredible music that just keeps pouring from him.

Only someone like Devin would apologise for fans having to wait a little for a cycle of four vastly different albums. Thanks for the interview Ola, it's always fun seeing you two together!

Always loved Devin, from back in the day when he played in SYL with Hoglan on drums. Those records were on my CD player all the time. I went to a festival to see them live and nowadays when I´m more familiar with his funny and down-to-earth personality. He still makes awesome music. The latest song I heard the other day "Janism" is an absolute banger. Love live Townsend!

The final third of this discussion convinced me that Devin would absolutely rule as an MIT professor. And all of the faculty would be in their seats, in awe. Such a gem of a human.

I really identify with this new album powernerd, I almost was hesitant about it because of what it really is, being basically Motörhead therapy, I think because it’s hard to face. But I also feel like I need to, ultimately it’s a difficult subject but something I very closely identify with
