Definitely do the Kinetic Manifesto of ON, that video came as a lead in before this one and is amazing to see the performance, plus you get to the see UCLA drumline members and amazing choreographer/dance team that performed this song with them. Also, yes they are all visuals and they are REAL! That is our angel Jimin's voice. Just like that's Taehyung's (V's) and RM's deep voices. I've seen and heard it with my two eyes and ears. They all have amazing voices! 3 rappers: RM, J-Hope and Suga and 4 singers: Jungkook (the voice you wanted to know who it was) does both but is the main singer, Taehyung (V), Jimin and Jin.

They are real. I saw them live 3 times. Their live vocals are as good (if not better) than the recorded versions. There is a dance version of this song that you will love. It’s On: Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima. It’s was part of a global art project that BTS sponsored. It & this one we’re filmed in Los Angeles. The dance was choreographed by a 19 yo (at the time) and she and her group, The Lab, danced in the MV. There was also the UCLA marching band. So, it’s pretty epic.

I'm still a fairly new fan of theirs and I went to their first show in LA on 11/27/21 and I was not expecting the energy I felt. It was amazing. They sing so well live and they play so well off the energy the crowd gives them so the energy just keeps growing all night long. It is truly something spectacular to take in. The member you were asking about is Jungkook (Jeon Jeongguk)! And the one with the angel voice is Jimin (Park Jimin). You already recognized RM (Kim Namjoon). The group has three rappers, RM, SUGA (Min Yoongi - he’s also done solo work under the name Agust D), and j-hope (Jung Hoseok - he’s the one who’s dance move you went back on a few times). In the earlier years Jungkook did some rapping too, but the three I mentioned are in the official rap line of the group. Then there’s the one you paused on even before the song starting, our Worldwide Handsome, Jin (Kim Seokjin), and the one who was lying down with his head propped up against the log, V (Kim Taehyung). These two along with Jimin and Jungkook form the vocal line. Like Jungkook sometimes raps, j-hope (you may also see him called Hobi) sometimes sings too, he has a beautiful voice. They've evolved their look/style over the years. On is definitely much more 'cinematic' than some of their earlier work, but KPOP in general does have a 'film' quality that's different than other countries. And yes, the guy who put this group together chose them for the uniqueness of their voices. I think, in KPOP, you have the 'rap line' and the 'vocal line'.. and the vocal line is usually the visuals of the group, though BTS is full of very good looking men. They interchange the rap line, visual line/vocals, dance line. All of them are pretty good in all areas, but RM and Suga were the original rappers and J-Hope was a float, who chose rap over vocals. J-Hope is the hip-hop dancer of the group (the one with the fly moves you were struck by), and Jimin is the classically trained dancer. Jimin is also the one with the higher voice (the one you thought sounded like an angel). Then there are Jin, V and Jungkook, who are solid visuals and vocal, but both can rap somewhat. V is the one who wins 'most good looking man' awards and Jungkook is the one who is 'good at everything.' (So 3 rappers, 4 vocals/visuals, and they all train so that they can sing and dance at the same time.) Another reactor gave a breakdown on the symbology: basically it's a post-apocalyptic world, with elements from the bible (ie: Noah's ark with RM, there's a boy with a drum and V is positioned on the ground in a way that's reminiscent of Christ on the cross. The girl is blind-folded to prevent her from seeing the bad things, and she's supposed to be V's sister in the production. Jungkook has a crown of thorns around his wrists, and he blows on a conch that's symbolic of the way Joshua had people blow the horn and march around Jericho to bring down the walls. Yes, Jimin's voice is really like that, and that's Jungkook you're wanting to know about (who's singing his soul out.) Since no one wrote about it as far as I can see: "On" is on the "Map of the Soul"-Albums and therefore applied Jungian psychology. We were introduced to the concepts of "Intro: Persona", "Interlude: Shadow" and "Outro: Ego" first. The Persona beign the way we show ourself to our environment. We have a lot of different ones: you talk differently to a stranger than family, to your boss than a collegue, to a child than an adult and so on: all parts of our personality. The "shadow" is what we try to ban to our uncousciousness: what is unacceptable to the world around us/ourself/what keeps us up at night etc. That stuff IS part of us and to become whole we need to pull it into our consciouness which is painfull. In "Black Swan" they explored their shadow as artists. In "On" they deal with their first engagement with/may even flee from it. Than they confront it - pulling it into our cousciousness - when the doors opens and we get the dance break. After that the dry land develops into a beautifull landscape: we have archived full self. "On" is "N.O." backwards which was one of their first songs. "No more Dream" was their first song (watch it on 1theK for english subtitles - it counts as official). but all that turns now to: "Dream" a reality/wish they now archieved (the people around them are a representation of Army). The group was formed around RM who was an underground rapper. He had failed an audition (what was he 16?17?) but had in the first round impressed an already known rapper. who met a producer for this little barely existing label called "Big hit" for drinks. That producer took the recording to the boss Mr. "Hitman" Bang who recognized the raw talent even when his own writing was more ballad style. Mr Bang interviewed him as soon as he could and took him on. The first other rappers didn't stay. At a competition by the label they found (among other) Suga who was also an underground rapper and beatmaker/producer (and placed second). A few month later on 24.12.2010 J-Hope (a streetdancer) moved in (they keep trainees for a group in the same place there). He had to learn rap from all those freestyling rappers there. Unfortunately (or fortunetly for us) the label had to change their concept from a Hiphop group to an Idol group (money/success... the label had debt and no/little connections). Again people left. Jin was approached on the street for his looks (Idol music is very visual driven). Jin was an acting student. He was talked into becoming a trainee and almost driven out by RM who said Jin should go if he wasn't serious about what the group/RM (& Suga) wanted to bring into their music (maybe). At around the same time Jungkook (JK) tried out for a talentshow. (What was he? 13?). He was talented enough to get 7 different offers for training. Instead of going to one of the big ones he choose to be in the same group as RM. And got - like jin and others - vocal and dance lessons (and damn did RM and Suga hate the dance part - one because he didn't know how to move and nearly quit because of it and the other because he worked so hard that he had little energy for anything else and a serious shoulder accident). A few month later someone saw V walking into their auditions trying to find out if a friend had made it and asked him to audition as well. V made it and his friend... well... there was more going on with some other trainees and than Jimin auditioned ( who just came from 1-2 years of modern dance training but had done successfull streetdance before) and was taken (he slept very little the next few month always on the verge of being thrown out because he had so much to do to get on the same level). At the beginning of 2013 (about 6 month after Jimin came in) they began to drop short personal vlogs/their own songs and covers on their channels. On June 12th/13th they debuted. And well... it was a long hard road. Thank you! 💜
