Great footage! Keep it coming. Hearing this reminds me of when I first saw the Heavy Metal cartoon movie!

I saw their tour mid-80s in New Orleans @classic old Saenger Theater---their stage show was exactly like this, pure phreaking genius... half the songs had massive stage / art props including the moving-in-place-treadmills w/ lit-up dayglo colors on the columns between each band member. Best gig ever.

That's part of what I love about Devo, how theatric they are.

"Loooord! I am soooo tired! How long can this go on?" I love the little ad lib Mark and Gerry do at the end of the song! Hehe, I remember playing this song on some of the more drudging jobs I've had in my life, helped me keep it going till the end of the work day : )

I seen Devo on the New Traditionalist tour, along with Oh No its Devo and one where they even played Come Back Johnee!! One of the most innovative bands I have ever heard.

@DancingSpiderman brilliant absolute genius! stifled by tv and the fcc. michael richards battle boy

The two things that stand out in my memory of the TV show Fridays was 1) Melanie Chartoff wearing a bikini in that one sketch, and 2) the reoccurring character Dick, played by Michael Richards.

Radar Rider by Riggs was indeed the song used during the Corvette scene at the beginning of Heavy Metal. Working In The Coalmine was played over the start of the closing credits.

This is awesome. Unfortunately, back in 1981 they didn't get as much airplay as they deserved.

Big time DEVO fan, but was bummed that this is the song they used on Heavy Metal and my least favorite mainstream Devo song, it just reminds me of the Blues Brothers Dan Ackyroid way too much.

I think the vocals are live, but the backing track is recorded. Just an opinion.

Elder1 - oh, I'll take CDs every time. Downloadable music (MP3, ipod, et al) is compressed and lacks the audible range of uncompressed music on a CD.

Thats not live, it's canned, they're pantomiming... ugh!
