Hagrid's Hut | The Potter Project | Pt 1

Hello friends!
We're finally back with the Potter Project! This time we take on the lovely Hagrid's hut. As always with this series, it's a much slower and finely detailed process, so we didn't get a huge lot done today, but we've made a start. See you next week for more!

LOVE THIS! You should put a crusty ass toilet backed up against the tree with bushy weeds around it! Also some chopped wood under the stairs bit would look amaze! 💕

For the pheasants, you could check out some of the Elder Scrolls/Skyrim CC that has been made for Sims 4. There might be something in there that would work.

So glad the Potter Project is back! I really like how you are focusing more on terrain detail work in this build, versus the building detail work of the Malfoy Manor. Love both, mind, but a lot of people tend to forget about all the detail one can achieve with terrain painting and added terrain aspects from the debug menu.

One idea that I really like for the interior is using all those scratches and damage decals from Vampires on the lower walls and floors of the inside, just because you know Hagrid is keeping magical creatures inside the house during winter and they might tear the place up a bit

I really enjoyed this video, thank you Aden 😊 May I make a suggestion? I think Hagrid would have an out house but hidden by trees or carved into a rock so it’s discrete and only he knows it’s there (if that makes sense?) I think he would also have a small shed / hut / wooden gazebo where he prepares for his Care of Magical Creatures lessons, with a work bench for his gate keeper duties 😊 Can’t wait to see the finish product!

Looks so good 😍 i think that with the stilted decking however the stairs should be hollow underneath or slatter where you can see the light through the steps, just seens disconnected to have rock under one and not the other

💯 the werewolves pack suit this type of build. Side note what 3 packs do you most want refreshed. For me: get to work, island living and city living. Because I want multifunctional lots, apartments lot types, hammocks, basket, trollies, changing curtains, clothes rack etc.

Like how things are shaping up. I had one thought - while the railing looks great with the hut, Hagrid doesn't really strike me as a person to be concerned with such "trivial" matter. Also wooden stairs with no foundation (or whatever that's called) might look more cohesive...

hello darling! just want you to know that I am currently watching this from within the ~fancy sunken patio~ of an actual real life Frank Lloyd Wright house! Why am I spending my last morning here out here with you? Because I can’t go take pictures of the bedrooms until the rest of my friends wake up. 😅 and you KNOW I’ve got pictures for days While I am in here I will describe it to you. The whole house is designed on a grid of 7’x7’ “modules”, so there’s a lot of square shapes: square tables, square window into the master bedroom, squares in the shapes of the guest room above it and in the roof. The floor tiles here are big 7x7 concrete slabs that might have used to be dark, but are reddish greige now. It was built in 1938 so the floor is slightly different colors in different places because age and patina and whatnot. All the walls are horizontal wood (some kind of cypress, which is nice and red and veiny, until Frank went over budget) and red brick. The tour guide said the color “Cherokee red” but to me red brick all looks like red brick. There’s a nice wall all around the patio for privacy (Frank did not anticipate this being in a suburb 90 years later) with a built in ledge which has become a big sectional sofa. It’s turquoise! There’s some silver and mint colored mid century looking chairs and tables around which ask have lots of circular shapes. There’s those egg shaped chairs all around the house including here in front of the fireplace (!!!) which yes we very much DID light last night. Frank wanted a very “private club” feel to this back patio and overall, I agree, yesterday it served as a lovely place to have a drink or three. 16:55 I haven’t but I did almost successfully peer pressure my friend into peeing in Lake Michigan with me 14:25 oh this is gonna be so CUTE! I think we got the proportions right for the front. For the pheasants… I wonder if anyone’s made Skyrim or Witcher inspired CC? That could be good for medievaly details. I like the landscape bits we’ve picked out! This is going to very adorable, I think. 🥰💞

Don’t read if you are poop sensitive, but Hagrid having a poop in the woods reminded me of my dog eating poop last week. There I was walking in the woods and suddenly I see my dog munching something and not reacting to my callings. I go there and what do I see? A nice little hole with poop and toilet paper. My dog ate HUMAN faecal matter! I have never felt so sick in my life.

I heard that dogs do this sometimes, when they have vitamin deficiency. My dog preferred cat poop :D

@@yulika4327 i would happily change human poop to cat poop :D from what I have read about poop eating before it can be caused from many things including vitamin deficiency, different diseases such as dementia but also hunger or simply liking the texture and taste. I guess time will tell if this will be a recurring issue which is when it has to be looked into more in depth. But please no more human poop! Even though poop is poop no matter where it comes from
