Hello, I am curious as to how the balance of this gun was affected since you removed material from the stock and recoil pad…….did you add MORE weight to the butt end? I really enjoy watching you work….a REAL PROFESSIONAL! Mike P.

@@piaggio780 thank you for your kind words. My client (whose opinion matters) found the balance absolutely fine. His fore hand grip is very forward. So the balance was perfect for him.. issues of balance are checked with the client before they take their gun home.

Hi I would have thought a taped remember would have gone in from the breach end so you keep the taper going in from the choke end is giving you a reverse taper please correct me if I am wong

see Devongunsmith Diaries #16 there are many diagrams and all the info you need! the forcing cone of a choke is tapered, but not the choke, which is straight.

I do the work as requested by the customer.. the reasons for not simply swapping the stock for the right one are many and various.. but mostly availability or cost. 👍
