Can't believe you, Adam and Rachel French seams were mooching in Abakhan Shrewsbury on a Sunday morning. I have watched you all for years.I agree shropshire is a beautiful county. I live in Shrewsbury and my husband and I often have a walk down to Abakhan on a Sunday usually because I think I am running out of the thread I am using. I am not sure I would have believed my eyes as you all live so far away. I expect I would have thought I was hallucinating until I heard your voice or laugh. I would have loved to say hello. I do enjoy your KZbin channel and you have helped me with your tutorials over the years.

So glad you had a great weekend and got to catch up with so many like minded people; when you are sad to leave ( if you see what I mean) it must mean it was a great experience but taking such lovely memories and gifts with you. The needle thingy looked interesting but was not sure if it was for needles you want to get rid of or just used ones. I find that the little spice jars with the holes in the top are great for storing used machine needles and provide a safe way of disposing or them.

We were in a photo shoot 6 years ago for Love Sewing magazine and now we do this retreat each April. Your retreat sounded so much fun and you made some lovely things. 😊

Hi Angela! As you were showing your green dress I was literally thinking I've made a black version. I just extended the tilly buttons Freya pattern into a dress, with some cheeky side slits as well! I like it so much I have plans for more. Love your channel x

Hi Angela! I think retreats give us so much more than a place to sew with friends. They fill our souls somehow, when life has been challenging. I'm so happy for you that your sewing friends and time away has replenished a little of what you have lost. Ok, I might have to cave and get the Southbank Sweater pattern! Yours look so elegant and warm. I just finished my 2nd Jalie Léoneora Pants. The first was the G&G Kit and for the 2nd I used a lovely stretch Minerva exclusive fabric.The pattern is brilliant and comes together in the blink of an eye. Other than shortening them 2 inches, I made zero adjustments! I'm 5'2 1/2", 28" waist and 37"hips and made the size S. The waist does sit a little lower than the natural waist (which is what I love). Your daughter will love the absolute comfort they provide.

The weekend sounds like what we call in dutch: a warm bath (basking in friendship). I love all the sweet gifts you received. I ordered a little pillow with a similar print to keep track of the needles. I will use a pretty pin to indicate the needle currently in use.
