This is such an informative and insightful session. For a non techie person like me, without any technical knowledge and working as a scrum master in a technology environment is really helpful. Saurabh, thanks so much for making the entire session so simple yet so informative, i totally understand now the basic concepts of DevOps and also how all these tools works. Will try to see the read only version to understand the workflow or status and also to keep a track on whether the engineers are working in sync or not. Thanks and keep up the good job 👍

Hi Saurabh, first of all Thanks a ton to make this topic so easy to understood in a lay man terms.. It was really very helpful for me. I have just one follow up ques , when all the developers merged their code in GIT hub and build is deployed by jenkins in SIT for testing team. Once testing team is done with the testing and they gave a green signal, then we use this docker functionality to pick certain features from the entire build put them in a container and push them to higher environment? Am i right in saying that..

Hi Ayush, Thank for the feedback and here is the answer to your question Docker is used throughout the life cycle of project so it is first use or it is suppose to be created by developer on its machine ( a file called dockerfile must be added to the code) which will package all the library and tools for that project. This package then along with code deploys and shipped via Jenkins to the production. Advantage of this is since your software is bundled together and same bundle or package is used on all environments like developer machine , lower test environments and on production you will have consistency throughout.
