Currently trying for my first solo run on MDR with SL YiSang. Made me realize how many packs are blunt oriented and how many times I’d be resetting until I got 2 solid healing gifts on the first floor. Now I can’t do anything because my game crashes every time I try to replace a skill, but the run’s too good to throw away. Hoping for a bug fix before next week.

Patience, sometimes you just need luck to win a normal battle, and also having a good understanding of the ID you're using. Like looking at defense skills. Counters are better in normal fights, dodges are better in Focus Battles, and guard is best for stalling for EGO resources in most situations. An easy solo is most of the Zwei IDs. That small self-shielding on Rodion and stacking defense level up with Faust or Gregor can make it surprisingly easy. Plus Gregor can set up a turn of BIG shielding, since his Guard gives some shield on _Combat Start_ when it gets chained.

Pick poise as your initial ego gift(s), fusion clean mirror calm water, get some more poise ego gifts and healing ego gifts, there may be some variations but that's pretty much how it goes most of the time
