It’s a band. Been lucky enough to see them 3 times in different cities in south east asia. Previous singer was ari lasso. On this track is Once as the lead singer. The musicianship is great. A concert I saw a long time ago in jakarta, they performed with an orchestra from Sydney, Australia

"Satu" means "one" or "unity". This song had very meaningfull lyrics. The lyrics explained the unity betwen god and human, as I know this song was influenced by sufism ideology.

This song is one of my favorites, cause literally it's like two sides of the same coin kinda song. On one side it's a love song for a loved one, on the other side it's a song of a human's connection and worship to their God (tak ada yang lain selain diriMu -> there's no one else than You)

This is a very spiritual song, The song talks about the oneness and greatness of God. Satu = One. Fun fact, the writer and producer of the song, Dhani Ahmad, had a Jewish grandfather, a German Catholic Mother and he himself is a Muslim. His grandfather and mother was Jewish by race and were probably German Catholic.

dewa 19 is legendary band in indonesia. in his journey, they already change vocalist twice. Ari Lasso is Ex Vocalist when the band first time launching in 1986, then 1998 ari lasso resign from the band because he want focus to healing from drugs addicted. in 1998 once mekel sign to replace emptiness vocalist, in 2011 once mekel resign from the band because he wants to try new think in solo carier. in video clip "satu", when the vocalist is once mekel. now dewa 19 have 2 new vocalist, muhammad devirzha(virzha) and marcello tahitoe(ello).

The video, the song and the lyrics its self was tells about sufistik. Back in the day while working on this album, Ahmad Dhani (front man of the band as a Keyboardist) was in love with Kahlil Gibran's work, Jalaludin Rumi, etc. So it's no wonder if this song is like that.

Dewa is a band, and Once Mekel was their newer vocalist after the old one (Ari Lasso) left the band. This song is about Pantheism, which is the belief of Ahmad Dhani, the band founder (the guy with the keyboard). "Aku ini adalah diriMu" basically translates as "I am You." That said, everyone can interpret the song however they like. You can even interpret this as a love song and sing it for your wife or girlfriend.
