Great video! I bought one today. I was gonna get a Turbo Ego, but this obviously has plenty of power for my needs. Great job demonstrating it! Thanks man.

Know what? This was an EXCELLENT review. How much more could a guy ask for? Tool Boss, you rock. I have been using a Toro electric (100ft extension cord) and believe me, is this gonna stop some frustrations. Tripping over cable, having to walk way back to garage so one can get around the car/truck blocking cord. Gas one I had was like lifting weights for the hour and fifteen minutes of blowing edges and trimmed areas. I watched this review, then went to Homie's Depot (Bowmanville, Ontario) bought it, then an acquaintance who works there gave me 30% off the $300.00 price tag. Also batteries work with all my other 20V DeWalt tools. Thanks so much for walking us through the operational review. Greatly Appreciated!! 🙂

Awesome that Dewalt pushes the 18v leaf blower to do a bit more, than gen 1. . . I was not fan of buying the 54v due to not using 54v anywhere else. So this is perfect. GJ Dewalt.

Thanks for the review, think I'm gonna try on of these. I bought the 60V model (DCBL772) and it failed after about 8 hours of use. Was also not exactly impressed with the balance and heft. I'm a contractor with a lot of yellow plastic in the shop, so am gonna stick with that platform but maybe be cautious about the 60V tools from now on. We use the impact drivers a lot forming concrete, which is fairly hard use and often dirty conditions and out in the weather, mainly driving 2"-3 1/2" torx deck screws, and some T30 and T40 structural screws. Reverting to the brushed version of those..the brushless don't have the punch nor last as long.
@CoryCDS2 жыл бұрын
I cant speak much on the 60v blower and im kinda iffy on getting it because everyone says it has such a low run time. But the 60v grinder that takes the 6” wheel is badass with a pretty good battery life, and the 60v weedeater will last almost an hour with the 3ah 60v (9ah battery) I really got the 60v weedeater because it was like $40more than just a battery

I just bought a gen 2 Blower. My mainstay blower is a Toro Powerjet F700, 140 mph, 725 CFM, 110v with high and low speeds. The Toro is a demon in comparison which I expected. The Toro on low pushes more air than the DW at it's best. In moving lots of leaves on grass, The Toro is more effective from 10' away. For a quick clean the front walk or back patio, the DW works okay with less effort. Things I noticed, the battery used in the Gen 2 make a big difference. It is easy to see the difference between a DW 3A and a DW 5A battery. A knockoff 6A battery yields a bit more as well. The concentrator is a joke. It looks cool but should be call the "Obstructer" because that is exactly what it does. It reduces airflow and increases the load on the battery. I am thinking of cutting out all the junk in the center out and repeating my tests.
@stepheng.burley32352 жыл бұрын
Ya, the Toro I have is rated 225MPH @ 675CFM. LOL Like you said, itsa demon!! LOL. My neighbor bitches at me every time I use it because from my side of the street, I literally blow it onto his porch!!! Funny, but I don't TRY to do that, but sometimes the wind............. Gen 2 is a good buy light weight as the Boss says, and powerful enough for a heavy residential usage.

Bought this and return after trying for 2 days. Package has 1 battery that fully charged lasted 13 minutes straight work. It takes approximately 2 hrs to recharge. Gets very hot by the time it runs out and have to wait almost 1 hr to cool before charging it again. more than 1 hr to get fully charged. I will need about 7 or 8 batterys. And 2 fast chargeres in order to do a simple work with that. very very very expensive to go that way. Its light easy to use strong enough blower not very loud but not practical in terms of length of work time.
@ohHeyKev4 жыл бұрын
I thought I was the only one with low use issues. I've never tried a battery powered blower so I didn't know what to expect. Gotta say I'm underwhelmed that the battery only lasts 13 minutes. Instead I use my Portland 3-1 Electric cord blower for the main job around my house and use the DeWalt blower to blow the remaining leaves out of my driveway since my Portland's extension cord doesn't reach to the street. It's pretty good for small jobs and finishing up but this should never be used as your go to blower. It's alright but not worth $140 pricetag
