Nice thing with this one, the breakaway is 500 ft lbs... Lots of power for everyday use. I have one and I love it

The precision setting brings tire lugs to 80 ft lbs ( recommended for most vehicles) we tested it with a torque wrench its accurate

In my line of work (heavy plant) a big 1/2 gun is very much needed for most jobs and sometimes even the 1000 ft lb guns don't have enough power to undo the bolts lol. But a smaller gun like that would be very useful to undo the body panels and smaller parts of the machine where a big electric or air gun won't fit. Good video

A well done and helpful review, I like that you went over the anvil many strong opinions on which anvil is best. The socket change seemed much easier than I imagined it would be. A nice impact, better choices than ever out there probably can't go wrong with this DeWalt or the Milwaukee Mid Torque.

That’s a badass impact
@chaseyourdreams54146 жыл бұрын
Honestly he is very right, rarely you need 1200 ftlbs 😂 unless u at the junkyard frequently, you wouldnt wanna get something going at 1200 ftlbs near your car bolts or whatever
@upsidedowndog12566 жыл бұрын
That should be plenty for most jobs. It may even destroy a few things if you aren't careful at 330 ft lbs.
@zack68924 жыл бұрын
I could take apart my entire truck with this thing... I wish I went with the hog ring though certain sockets will not come off without pushing the pin in others come off by hand. On precision mode you can hold the trigger half way and get more power then low but less then 100% it also will prevent run off loosening.

For lug nuts though I agree small ones at 250 pound max is plenty
@fuckjewtube695 жыл бұрын
Not really because it's a 90% chance that another mechanic tightened the lug nuts with a 1,000 lb ft gun anyway...
@TysonHook-22-5 жыл бұрын
@@fuckjewtube69 Don't take your vehicle to highschool shop classes for repairs. Any good mechanic knows to torque lugs nuts, not just impact them on... first time taking your vehicle to a new shop when you get your vehicle back home its easy enough to test the shops integrity by breaking free a couple lugs and re-torquing... if you cant take your lugs off with an impact wrench in your driveway then you should never go to that shop again. Since they clearly have little to no morals/integrity, time management is not an excuse for impacting lug nuts onto a vehicle.
@fuckjewtube695 жыл бұрын
@@TysonHook-22- Na. It's the exact opposite. Every good mechanic I know torques them with a big ass fucking gun. It's the kids that torque them to spec because that's what they were told and that's what they do. When they get into a problem which they do every day, they don't know what to do because no one tells them and they can't think for themselves. If you find your lug nuts are exactly to spec (what fucking weirdo really checks that?) you go ahead and go back there and let that 20 year old tire buster work on your car and see what happens. If you're going to talk about morals/integrity then why stop at the lug nuts? Why not torque every single bolt to spec 100% of the time? Do you believe that there's a mechanic on the planet that does that? If it's a safety issue then don't worry, those lug nuts are not gonna come off.

I disagree but I'm a mechanic I have used the smaller ones on cars they do work but not well on rusted junk
@stever58875 жыл бұрын
Antonio--As a mechanic, you know that "More Power!!" isn't always the answer. Or even an option. You may not have more power available (such as a 3/4" pneumatic) or 1,500 ft. pounds on a cordless impact (which would weigh 10-12 pounds before adding the weight of the battery). Using that much power might also twist the head off a bolt, which creates a whole other problem. Smack the fastener with a hammer several times to break the rust loose, hit it with some PB Blaster (or the latest craze, ATF + acetone), wait a few minutes, then attempt removal. If it doesn't work on the first try, hit it again with the penetrating fluid or a welding torch to free it up, then try again. If it's rusted so bad that still doesn't work, try cursing, prayer (if that's worked in the past), or spray it again and wait a few more minutes. Another good method is to heat it with a torch, place a chunk of beeswax on it, which will melt down into the threads, lubricating them, and that should do the trick. This last technique is a life saver with rusty or over-tightened lug nuts.
@whatfreedom75 жыл бұрын
SteveR never heard of the last one. Try Micro Mist over PB blaster. Good stuff but expensive.
