Yes, it is smaller heightwise, BUT it is bigger in length & width... giving it a SUBSTANTIALLY BIGGER FOOTPRINT!!

I got a 5 amp 2 amp powerstack from my local Facebook market dealer for 20$ for the 2 and 35$ for the 5 got a xr brushless 20v for 70$ too just have to find the deals

The 5 amp power stack might not be as tall but but it definitely has a bigger footprint and if you use the 5 amp power stack you can't use the belt clip unless you bend the hell out of it

Now here's someone that uses the tool. Many times I lose the advantage of the compact impact because of the battery. This issue with the battery size is where the angle impact tool wins.

DeWalt shoud have made a 2.4 Ah power stack pack from the beginning for the 18/20V max. and a 4Ah for the 10.8/12max with 3 x 21700 cells like Hilti and Metabo and not with 6 x 18650 like a 24V Kobalt/Flex grey/Hilti...

To compare battery size you need to compare batteries with similar power, probably 8ah XR or more.
