Dewar's is exceptional for the price, it's crazy my dad and I didn't know about it until this past weekend when we got the 12 grain, but it was untapped for sixteen years ever since 2007. (We bought a house that had a whole liquor and wine cellar) It's delicious when it ages and leaves an amazing flavor in your mouth you can get enough of. That perfectly nutty woody flavor stays for a few hours and you just can't get enough of it, I guess that's how it tastes when it's 28 years old because I'm trying a new one now and it's good, but that memorable aftertaste isn't there. I highly recommend you buy this and hold it because it ages better than wine. I know whiskey doesn't age after it's tapped from the barrel but this totally changed my perspective on that. It's either that or it was just better back then.

Oh man, I finally got my bottle here in Texas. This scotch is fantastic! Although I feel the smoke has been toned down a little (it was already only slightly Smokey) and the body and spiciness (not harshness) are so good…tastes more like a Speyside now like Monkey Shoulder….but aged 12 years and $7-$8 cheaper
