The back of this site is very wet due to inadequate ditches. There is not much leeway to get the depth of the ditch because the bedrock and large stones are very close to the surface.
We deepen and clean up the old ditch and try to make the best of it based on the conditions that exist.
Two sources of incoming water onto the area gona be collected into underdrains (French drains) and the water transport across the site as well.
Here I work with Conny, the son of the founder of the company that I work together with for the last 3 years. We have worked together before in our early teens on the golf course where I worked for over 20 years with my father and were I later became the course manager.
Conny has been running machines since he was 4 years old and his father started the company about 50 years ago.
I welcome all the tips and knowledge they have accumulated over the years :)
The control of this tiltrotator is not the most common, video on how they are usually controlled comes in another video in the future.

Hi Hedblom, I was surprised by how the controls for the tiltrotator worked - through a foot-pedal. I operate a log processor mounted on an excavator and everything works through buttons on the joysticks, to allow walking and functioning simultaneously. I am glad you don’t give in to your baser instincts and play that awful ‘throat-screaming’ music during the time-lapse sequences! I really enjoy your videos and love seeing your beautiful country, it is so different from my home here in New Zealand. 👍

As someone that is not an operator but someone that just likes heavy machinery I really appreciate the split screen. Allows me to see what is happening and what the operator is doing. More of this please.

Pablo Picasso with an excavator ... it's so rewarding to watch the application of a God given talent (also recognizing the 30 years of training and personal effort). It's also great to put a face to the work. I'm guessing around 50 years old ... meaning another 20+ years of contribution available. In America, we have a Hedblom simile in Letsdig18, who gets the job done with quality and efficiency, however absent the artistry. What a neat deal to watch Hedblom display such a level of trust with a 3-year operator. I simply continue to marvel at the work and devotion.

A really well produced video, and I love the mini FAQ at the beginning! Great job at showing the controls and the action at the same time, really innovative. It'd be impossible to watch an entire video split screen though so kudos for not doing it more than a couple of minutes. Really nice mixing it up with the chest cam as well, just be careful with how you position it as it's really hard to get it just right. Maybe even use the wide angle mode (I suspect your GoPro has that at least). Although I at times listen to "your" type of music, for a video like this I do prefer the more laid back sound. And I'm starting to recognize the soundtrack, which I find sort of comforting and gets me in a good mood (it's telling me that I'm watching a Hedblom video after all :).

I saw that and said, "augh" literally half a second before he did then I laughed when I heard him. It sure would be nice if everyone took that much pride in the job that they do. Too many people are just concerned about an end result and don't consider that those few rocks will now be there forever for the owners to deal with. No, it's not a big deal, but their Tomte will be happy and that can make all the difference.

I've never seen a tracked dump cart(?) before. Are those common in Europe?
@samuelbhend2521
@samuelbhend2521 4 жыл бұрын
I'm from switzerland and yes, I see them regularely. Here they are often used in construction projects along rivers, in the mountains and sometimes also on flat but wet ground, due to the fact that tracked vehicles have significantly less "groundpressure" (if that's even a word in english?) means that they don't sink in so much on weak ground bc weight distributes to more surface with tracks, which results in less weight on the ground at one spot. They are also often used in the mountains due to tracks being more offroad capable than wheels. edit: those tracked "dump carts" come in many different sizes, from small (motorized wheelbarrow) to walk behind with 250Kg payload all the way up through the middle ones either with a seat or just a platform to stand on to the big ones for ~10 tons (metric ton=1'000Kg) of Payload with a full climatized and heated cabin.

@@orgcoast5990 ok, thank you:) yes big farms (Swiss "big farm" equals "very small/homestead" in USA...) in the "flat" part of Switzerland sometimes have tracked tractors, because of weak ground. But it's less than common, since there's not much flat land here:)
