I have a couple The North Face jackets with plastic zippers... never had an issue.
@jeffgrantMEDIA Жыл бұрын
I also have North face tri climate in plenty of other north face and Patagonia gear and have never had any issues. what I should’ve said. Is these feel like kind of cheap plastic zippers. But as I’m walking the dog in white out snowstorm right now, wearing this jacket and the pants, I’ve had zero issues, so even though my initial impressions were that I thought they could’ve been better quality, they’re holding up just fine

UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH AGO, I WAS STILL WEARING MINE. ONLY SWAPPED OUT BECAUSE I GOT A DECK JACKET THAT IS INSANELY WARM WITHOUT ELECTRONICS. I STILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS JACKET THOUGH. IF YOU DON'T HAVE $400 FOR A DECK JACKET THIS WILL CERTAINLY KEEP YOU WARM ALL WINTER LONG.

I had it on medium last night with it being about 20F out and I got to hit and hat to turn it off. It’s only 12 out there now. I might actually put it on high when info out in a few minutes.

High isn't very hot and the battery says its supposed to last 3 months and I'm lucky if I get 2 hours at a full charge

@@eightgrams1916 high is about 130 degrees. That’s hot. Nothing says the battery lasts 3 months.

My jacket came with American flag and Dewbu eagle velcro patches that could be removed.

I did get a small DEWBU patch that was on the bottom right of the jacket. About 1/2” x 1”. But Monday of or eagle patch.

Hey man, what do you use that weird lower back pocket for?
@jeffgrantMEDIAАй бұрын
@@Noidhole88 this jacket does not have a lower back pocket. Are you referring to the zipper pocket for the. Artery pack? That is in the bottom front left of the jacket. It is where the power chord comes out and you plug in the battery pack to power the jacket.
@Noidhole88Ай бұрын
@@jeffgrantMEDIAoh weird. Mine has 2 zippers on the lower back. It's fleece lined and pass through. Very odd placement.
@jeffgrantMEDIAАй бұрын
@ I’ve got another jacket with a back pocket. But that’s a shell with like 14 pockets for travel. I never use it though. Anything in there gets in the way. It might be a good spot for something small like a battery pack. That is small enough you fit in the small of the back and then it would not pull the jacket to one side.
@Noidhole88Ай бұрын
@@jeffgrantMEDIA yeah maybe but my battery plug is in the same spot as yours. Right now I just put my micro fleece hat in there in case my bald head gets cold.

And on the battery weighing down the left side my first thought was throw my phone in the right pocket but if I did that it would over heat my phone. I think Apple needs to make a jacket. The whole thing would warm and you could warm it by every degree like your cars climate control.
@jeffgrantMEDIA Жыл бұрын
Then it would be a $2000 $150 jacket! But it would integrate with my phone, watch and laptop!
@jeffgrantMEDIA Жыл бұрын
Oh, and I don’t think your phone would overheat if you kept it in the right pocket. The heating element is a little bit above where the bottom of the pocket lays so your phone will probably be fine. I toss mine in my pocket all the time and I haven’t had any issues with it.

Lol what an apple fan boi
@jeffgrantMEDIA Жыл бұрын
@@_Otaku-kt8be as someone has used Apple products for over 20 years, back before they started using the same processors as windows machines, they were actually the superior machine. trying to do anything graphic, heavy, or editing, and when a sin would just crash constantly. Where an apple machine would actually stay running the entire day and not have to be rebooted every 35 seconds. Now it is more of force of habit than a necessity. but having a jacket that would integrate to any phone would be a pretty big positive here. Since this jacket is not zone, controllable, if I could integrate it with my phone, I would be able to do that. And generally most apps work for both iOS and android.

@@LubricatedMelon Other jackets have the option to turn the light off. If you need to know what mode you are on, turn it on, look at it, turn it back off.
