Brave brush work...to loosen up and let it go with confidence. Nicely done. The overlapping brought the piece together with the lovely red Poppies and final layers of detail.

I'm not sure how I have not discovered you before now. Only water coloring for a year or so. LOVING the flowers. Practice, practice!!! I am painting 60-100 (a variety of flowers) invitations at the moment, and I cannot wait to incorporate some of your tips here. I need to binge watch your others videos soon. 💞

Your work is so beautiful. Poppies are one of my favorite flowers. I'm very impressed that you layer over the way you do. I'm definitely in the category of too nervous to try that!

I’m a similar age and I recently started a KZbin channel and a Facebook group to support people like us who need encouragement and help learning to paint in a community. I paint simple subjects in a loose, free and easy style and I offer free downloads of the sketches I do to help you get started without needing to draw. Anyone interested? Please visit my channel and watch some of my stuff, and join the FB group - I’m trying to get this off the ground. Some of us aren’t so young any more, although we feel in our hearts we’re still 21 !!!!

What a beautiful loose composition! I love the effect of the layering -- it's so natural and unstudied-looking, and really captures the essence of a handful of wildflowers. Can't wait to give it a try!

I keep watching, don’t get tired of it. My black tends to ‘bleed’ to the full flower, I can’t figure out how to keep it contained while working so wet
@deWintonPaperCo2 жыл бұрын
It’s worth experimenting with how long you can leave something as it slowly dries before you add the black. It will still be damp and not travel as far
