I totally agree re the butterfly amd crumble I make these narratives as well!! Stunning work as always I still cringe when you do the shadow but then marvel at how much more realistic it looks!! Ty as always Harriet and crumble 😊

When I use opaque paints my favorite part is putting on the highlights last. When I use transparent ones like watercolors I like putting in those shadows last, like you mentioned - really seems to give it form.
