What a clever cheerful idea! I love this, and it will be fun to try it with different palettes. I’m usually terrible at loose florals but somehow I think this will get me unstuck from overthinking and over fussing with them! I’d love to see a pallet refresh, I did that a year ago and I’m always interested in seeing how other people do it. Thanks for the inspiration, I was ready for a break from snowy holiday scenes!

Would you think of doing an advent calendar of the seasons . Something like springtime advent calendar, summer advent, fall advent , winter advent. You get the idea . My gosh I can’t believe I had reservations about this at first. It turned out so well and it looks intentional the way the lower bluey flowers are nestled and tucked; but of course the beauty of it is it’s all so spontaneous!! Absolutely brilliant!!! Not only the outcome but it felt like we were having a visit, the conversation was also spontaneous and relaxed. The idea of a new palette sounds fantastic. I love green gold too and Cascade Green (DS) is like magic in a tube😂😉. HNY🎈🎉🥳

Happy New Year! I saved this to my watercolour playlist. Going to give that a try with my winsor&newton cotman filled palette and with my Maimeriblu filled palette. Going to be interesting, because I arranged my colours pretty similar to yours for the cotman series colours, but with the other palette ... I tried to have the minimum in colours :')

I was too busy and travelling in December to paint along with your advent calendar, though I enjoyed watching quite a few…. So I’m challenging myself to paint everyday in 2025 and have made myself an advent style January calendar, with a permanent setup on a table so I can just sit down for even 5mins each day. January I’m doing flowers in my garden (because I’m in Australia) and might change themes each month… maybe a monochrome month? Maybe a mini landscape month? Maybe an objects in my house month?

I really enjoy your painting and videos. I have checked a number of your videos and I have not found any mention of the size paper you use. It would be helpful because the brush sizes will be proportional to the paper size.
