Dewitt Oil C7 Cooler Test

On screen data of the Dewitt Trans / Oil Cooler. I tried testing with no holes under the cooler and with holes under the cooler. In this video there is no panel under the cooler it is entirely removed. All test above produced the same results, not much help for the Oil temps. This car also has the DeWitt 70mm Radiator and intercooler.

Doesnt 260 coolant temps break the car ? Thats way higher than ive ever let it get in my supercharged c7 stingray😂. Id be CONCERNED AF.

So 3 year after you did this video do you have any advice for someone that's getting ready to buy a 15 or 16 z06 to race time attack? I know I'm going to have to upgrade cooling but not sure what the best option is. The LG one is like 3500 and is just more air flow and then options for extra coolers. Looks like about 5k for most of what's suggested. Would love to hear your feedback. Thanks!

After a LOT of research, I got the LG system (I did not do the oil cooler yet) on my 2017 M7 Z06, water temps dropped from highs of 235+ to highs of 212, oil dropped from highs of 282 to highs of 270 (in texas summer heat)

Paying closer attention to the oil temp, it seems flatlined - as if it can't read higher than 302 and is stuck there for awhile.

Wow, thank you for this vid. Was about to buy a c7 z07 to replace my c6 z06 that only runs about 280* on track. If upgrading everything you did is still seeing 280*+ engine oil temps and 260 coolant temps in cool weather (for a florida sumer) then there's no way the car can hold up to me.

C7 Z06 with the stock oil cooler will hit over 300 degree temps on a 90+ degree day if you are on a track. Anyone that says their car doesn't, has non-stock cooling or is driving slow. Aftermarket solutions are a must, and oil seems to be the one that benefits the most when starting out.

I ran across a couple people using a Setrab series 6 34 row cooler, the DeWitts (if it's the same as on WeaponX's site) looks to be pretty small. Oil to Air seems to be step one, but you still need a good sized cooler. The Z06 produces a ton of heat, I'm trying to figure this out myself as a 100 degree track day is very tough for a Z06 to survive for more than 10 minutes.
