All of this was done on the Roland first... Except Roland actually built their entire piano sound using physical modeling. Also, Casio does this in the AiR sound engine, Kawai does it in all of their Pianos, and Yamaha throws it into their Clavinova line of pianos. This company sprang up from the closing of the Roland Europe Manufacturing Plant and I'm honestly curious how long it will take before Roland goes after them for IP Theft as there's a lot of things these pianos look to be taking from some of the Rolands.

What tech exactly do you think they stole? Kawai also does modeling combined with high-def samples. As do many other. The hardware implementation seems completely unique (not just aesthetics but the underlying silicon tech)

I'm still interested.

9:09 everyone do string resonance these days. yamaha, kawai, roland even casio. Nord does it too imho.

Does the H1 have continuous damper that allows fractional damper (not just half damper)?

Sounds better than Yamaha but I prefer Kawai.

9:09 You haven't been looking very hard. :) Fortunately resonance sampling/modeling has been around for a while already.
