I use precedex frequently in my medical ICU patients as therapeutic intervention in trating ICU delirium although I didn't notice that effect. What I know is that the best candidates are cardiac surgical patients but recently I saw some talks about BB rule in sepsis which raised some questions. Are we heading to change our practice? I believe that we need further RCT's to find out. Thank you for sharing this content.

@@eddyjoemd i am a strong believer that if we give these patient early steroids and cut down this inflammatory cascade sooner than waiting for them to be on pressor support and meet the criteria of septic shock. like recent studies shows steroid before going to emergent laprotomy , before going for perc neph tube. whats your take on that
