Dexter Cattle on the Farm

We have some new additions on the farm. 2, one year old Dexter Heifers were delivered this morning and are in our training lot learning about electric fencing. Although we've grazed some cows and steers here in the past, this will be our first time owning cattle and we're excited to have them here!
We also take a look at the sheep and goat flerd and discuss our 2024 lambing season.

We are, I am so thankful every time we step outside our door that we get to have a grazing operation, even on the bad days!!

Thanks! We aren't ready to trust the dogs with the lambs overnight yet, so it's just supervised visits for now and then they are in a paddock next to the flerd separated by a poly braid fence.
