The inner diameter of a regulation rim is 18.45 inches. The ball is 29.5 inches in circumference thats 9.51 inches in diameter. With all 3 b-ball’s touching at there center most point measuring the diameter from their furthest outside point to the rim is 19.84 inches. So if you were to somehow make all 3 balls not possible to move and be stuck together exactly at their equator and tried to set the rim down on them evenly it wouldn’t fit it would set just above the center of the balls. Simultaneously at the same time and speed they would not fit through. Mathematically impossible. He’s moving the rim at an angle one ball has to be slightly in before the others. Not even 2 balls could fit simultaneously at their equator. Their diameter together would be 9.51 + 9.51 that’s 19.02 and the rim is only 18.45. It would be like trying to put a type c charger into an iPhone port. Simply wouldn’t fit because of the dimensions. 🤷‍♂️ That’s why in the first clip he rolls the balls through. If he were to set them down and set the rim down onto them evenly it would set just above the center of the balls.
