I am seventy three (73) years old.What a movie and the songs.It was released in 1964.Hats off to late Shymal Mitra sahab and the acting of late Uttam kumar(guru as was he called).On paper we are to write late before their names but they are still very much alive.

How heart-touching and heart -moving these songs with their eternal-appeal to us are!When the film ,"Deya Neya"was released in 1963,I was a child of 5 years of age only, and was a student of infant class of Kalna G.S.F.P. School in Burdwan District!Then I had been with my film-loving and music -moving mother in Bani Cinema-Hall,Kalna in Burdwan District!Though a little boy with a little understanding then,it is still fresh in my memory that the entire film,coupled with its mesmerizing songs exercised such a magic-spell on the entire cinema-goers' mind that a pin-drop silence continued to prevail in the cinema-hall!These songs ,coupled with the film Deya Neya,will remain ever-green in the mind of all!Even my college-teachers and university teachers,who were products of Calcutta University, continued to bear the remnanta of culture of that romantic era through their semblance in look with Mahanayak Uttam Kumar,in the body language with the great man,in pleasant manners with the immortal personality,and had a profound impact on us all when I was a student of Kalna College,and then a student of Calcutta University!
