As a pole, my great grandfather lived through the war, was in captivity with Germans and worked for them, I don’t know how official it was because I never confirmed it, he once told me, “ when I was in Berlin, happened to be walking by Reichstag(or whatever the name of that building was) I saw the Fuhrer himself” he saw many Tigers, Panthers, he knew the exact location of the German Messerschmidt factory in the mountains... it feels bad to not have these people with me anymore, I listened to him like mad as a young child, which made me interested in the wars etc, It’s good that he told me so many things and I remembered them to this day. That video of that Pershing vs Panther duel is a showcase of what war really was like, my grandfather saw it often from too close!

Tier VIIs are overpriced. The Eagle is very close in price to several tier 8 prems. If you want credits, tier 8s are the way to go. If you want fun and good (or at least better) MM then tier VIIs are pretty nice in the current 3-5-7 setup. In my experience, you are top tier a lot more often. Something to consider.

gpc_4 just get the T23E3, it’s faster, has more DPM and has the same Gun depression but it doesn’t have as much armour Plus the T23E3 can go 30kph backwards

To be honnest I'm surprised they haven't released more t7 premiums. despite the lower credit earning, on the NA server at least I seem to be getting good matchmaking in T7s, being mid or top tier rather than bottom tier the majority of the time.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Not being bottom tier all the time means you will not have to fire as much premium ammunition. So I think because of that it will make just as many credits as a tier 8 premium medium. Plus it does not matter how many credits a tank makes per game if you never play it because of crappy MM. I would much rather have a tank I enjoy that makes 30,000 credits a game than one I hate that makes 60,000.

One of my favorites is that German tier 7 heavy. It has shit armor but the gun is very good and mobility is not bad. I really enjoy playing it.

VK 45.03 is a fantastic vehicle. I love mine dearly. The IS-2 at that tier is also wonderful. Too bad the FV201 is such a dog, made even worse compared to these two.

Do you play a given tank as a cash cow, or because you like to drive different tanks at different tiers? Earning credits is only an issue if you need to subsidize primarily playing Tier IX/X. At every other tier you can earn credits with reasonably adequate play and a Premium account. It's incredibly freeing.

That is the Gamescom 2018 style, which does feature that coat of arms. It is currently for sale for gold in-game (on NA at least), go to Exterior - Preset Styles. Expensive though, 1750 gold or something like that.

The gun reminds me of the Muts's gun handling.. I always found it to be super derpy and it got worse after a patch shortly after I bought the tank. it became unplayable... One of 3 shots would hit. Haven't played it in well over a year.

Im not sure if there is actually that big difference between tier 7 and 8 prems. Tier 8´s gives you more profit if you have great battle but in tier 7´s you have great battles more often.

Possibly. but if your in a position where they can see the machinegun they already know your there know what i mean. if there was no highlight or marker pointing you out. or they could somehow damage you by shooting it, id agree. Side note. i look forward to the day we can add or remove 3D objects like the machine gun, boxes, or nets through the customization menu.

you could compare it to the T20, similar potato gun handling, but the Eagle seems to have a better rate of fire. Not agile enough for a tank with poor armour.

Can't you look up Xp/credit bonus for pc premiums? The console site gives numbers. Eg t8 superpershing 57% credits/15% xp. T7 t23e3 60% credits/20% xp Trend is generally high xp/low creds at low tiers and reverse at high tiers though, t23 bit of an exception

Hasn't Otto Carius' Tiger 217 been in supertest hell for like a year now? Seeing as the TKS 20 (not directly identified as a "hero" tank in-game, but let's be real: it's Roman Orlik's tank) was stuck in supertest for a like 2 years but did just get released for the anniversary event, so Tiger 217 will almost certainly also be sold eventually. Wargaming is probably just trying to make sure it's distinct enough from Tiger 131 (they're both the PzKpfw VI Ausf. E model) that people will actually buy it. Another possibility for a future premium would be Kurt Knispel's Tiger II. A historically accurate Tiger II (ie with the long 88 and no fantasy upgrade to a 10.5cm gun) could be Tier 7. And Knispel has the most recorded kills of any tank commander in history.

I can understand wanting this tank for its historical factor...in a virtual world, why not?! Nice addition, but IMO too pricey for a tier 7. Also the T20's DPM should have been buffed to a comparable level a long time ago. Than the Eagle would have advantage in: armor, gun handling and penetration. And the T20 would have advantage in: speed, view range and camo. This would in my view count as better balance than what's the current situation (hold true for more old and currently non competitive content, T-34-2 anyone? :P) .

T20 is still one of the best performing tier 7 mediums, I'll quite happily sacrifice some DPM for that insainly good premium ammo when having to fight tier 9s.

(apologies for the long reply) A tanks should NEVER be balanced, or have been balanced (ever since US med tree was released in 2012?), around it's premium ammo. Just saying: that is IMO a sloppy/lazy way of balancing versus core game issues and tbh too often seen in the f2p world. Just that was given 243 prem (though thank god with the current priority of the 3/5/7 template haha) but it doesn't make the rest of it balanced when taking into account the current standards of design in WoT. Take the P.43ter for instance, which IMO is finally a well rounded, competitive and balanced tier 7 240 alpha medium. Old content like the T20 should be elevated to this new standard as well instead of being left forgotten like so much of the tech tree content currently.

Oh I totally agree with you re balancing. Unfortunatly as you say in the present 3/5/7 screwed up MM world, i'd rather keep the ability to actually pen higher tier tanks as oposed to bouncing off them at a faster rate, true the P.43ter is no doubt better against other tier 7s and lower, but far too many tier 8+ tanks need more pen than the P.43ter has, even with premium ammo, to go through their front armour due to armour creep, flanking is often not possible especially in early game, and weak spots seem to have gone the way of the dodo. So this ftp tanker will happily keep fireing p2w ammo at tanks that need it until balancing is fixed... if ever. Sad I know :-(

After getting the Eagle 7 as a rental I think its a useless piece of crap in the current matchmaking. I played it with a 4 skill crew from my M26 and a rammer, V-stab, and optics. Its slow. The armor is useless. If its going to be that slow give it useful armor. The gun doesn't have enough pen to be useful against tier 8 tanks on the corridor maps. Its not like the gun handling is significantly better than the other tier 7 mediums to make up for its shortcomings. I'm glad I didn't buy one. I'd rather play the tier 7 Leo, the P.43 or the T20.

My humble experience with the 30 days of Eagle 7. 3 rd day in, and Im parking it for good. Basically unless you are a top tier tank in battle, you wont penetrate anything, without Premium ammo of course. For those that seek side shots, you are way too slow to flank. So unless you buy buy buy your way through premium ammo, its pretty much useless, and you will be eaten alive by overmatched armor and guns. DO NOT BUY, OVERRATED.

Tier 8 premiums make no creditd at all since you have to load premium rounds half the time against tier 9 and 10 tanks and unless you have credit boost and premium acc the best you get is ±0. Tier 8 is just trash, I like that even WG relizes it.
