Yaaaasss I've been waiting your reaction!!! Also, I appreciated that you called out unnecessary reaction towards Hwasa's outfit vs sexualizing male idols body. Female body always seen as a threat and any female who embrace her body and sexuality punished as a crime. Just happened recently in Indonesia where there is online petition to turn off an ads starring BlackPink just because their clothes seen too appealing. Those trying to push their own view and I love how Hwasa don't give a damn. I really love her strong mentality to not giving up with other people standard and how beauty is perceived in the mass media. Mamamoo's outfits are necessary for the concept and their personality. Amazing stage! As a non K-pop fan who found Mamamoo just early this year, I'm glad to become a fan. Wonder if you want to do some sort of Throwback Thursday or 'dig-deeper' into Mamamoo. I believe girl groups are bound by the concepts that their record labels want them to carry "because the public love wholesome images", but there's only so much girliness that one can handle. I've seen newer girl groups breaking out of that mould a little but Mamamoo was right at the opposite end from the start. Even till now I've never been a fan of girl groups (just a personal preference) but I've loved Mamamoo ever since I saw them. It's sad to hear how some Koreans view their sound as too mature but really they are one of the few undisputed vocal queens of kpop. Each member is unique and together they are confident af. Props to you for calling out people who criticized Hwasa again and again but sexualize male idols.
