What chassis number do you have? I have 490 I have allmost all of my parts sandblasted and painted . Hopefully this weekend i will have my final tabs welded on the frame blasted etch primed and at least one to two coats of paint on the bottom side of the frame. I have the radiator hoses pulled thorough the lower rails already taped and caped off. One side went great the other , , , the hose ripped right at the end of the frame rale,,,,,,, but I McGivered it and pulled it through the rest of the way.

#493, did you use the puller tool or had pull the radiator hoses? Glad it was salvageable for you. What donor do you have?

I made up the pulling tool. I bought the winch from Hobo Freight. It wasn't the one DF Showed on the site , but, I made it work. Once the hose ripped , I made a couple of failed attempts at vice gripping the hose, What worked was a pare of needle nose vice grips holding two sides of the hose and another vice grip clamped on it to keep the rope from sliding over the needle nose vice grip. I'm telling you, I don't know how I would have gotten the hose back through the frame , to try again. And there was plenty of WD40 On the hose and in the frame rail. Last night I made about 10 tabs to weld to the frame. 5 To add mounting positions for a windshield frame 4 to weld to the top of the roll bar to mount a removable roof (a section of the 2009 Cobalt LS Roof) and I want to build a removable roof rack. One to weld to the top back of the upper roll bar to mount a 4 foot whip light. The donor was a 2009 LS 2.2L 5 speed , Normally asperated car.
