DF season 2 M+ - 18 Vortex Pinnacle

How to play vortex pinnacle as an Fire Mage in dragonflight season 2, first M+ key with new 4pc and the difference is certainly noticable in terms off output and rotation, any question feel free to ask below.

Main takeaway is that tank needs to chain pull. Notice that no skb procs or stacks were lost in between pulls. Each time you loose those due to stopping in between pulls is a HUGE dmg loss other classes don't have. This is the main reason fire mage looks bad in m+. Get a tank, teach him how to pull for a mage and you'll have lots of fun.

Very sane and based opinion if i may say so, when in an discord call with premade then calling out pull now or chain this for skb allignments with combustion makes fire go from decent to one of the best dps in the game Sadly devokers or spriest still do like 200k overall so hard to bring in another ranged but after the aoe buffs coming and 10.1.5 oh boi its gonna be an blast

Insane dps, what is ur ilvl like? Do u think 20% haste enough to go +16 key and above?

~437ish must definetly doable with sub 20% haste did so in season 1 but in general the higher haste you get till an certain point like 34% for spellcasting, gcd allignments and your fireblast recharge rate all help with your dps output Keep in mind you need an tank to pull around your combustion window to even do okay dmg like if mobs die before your combustion expires its hard to even do good dmg

Did the tank pull that out of the center on purpose? Wouldn't it be easier to tank it right in the center?

Yes but i doubt pug tanks are aware about the optimal pull this early into the season

​@@kowaikokoro I mean, I've only started to do m+ this season and started playing WoW in shadowlands. It just seems more intuitive to tank right in the center for two reason. One, tank will eventually have to run into the tornado and two, because you are going to have to get in front of the dragon for winds. If you are a tank why would you want to squeeze you teammates in between the boss and a bunch of circles that do damage? That just seems like common sense. But yeah I guess I get what you mean. Not everyone is gunna know what to do. You made it look easy though. Nice work!
