DF T-28 Trojan V2 :【 MAIDEN 】✅ Flight !

Maiden Flight - Durafly T-28 V2 Well actualy the second flight, as I landen right away after first minute to move the battery towards the front. Great flying plane, (Bought on sale for just 95 Euro's) and behaves very nice. Looks and feels a lot bigger in the air, color is outstanding for visibility. With the S6R receiver it did not mind the wind ghusts at all. I did rip out all the geardoors and used bigger wheels, as I fly from grass only. Setup info: Lipo: Zippy Flightmax 2650mAh 45C (8 minutes flight time) The stock 45A ESC runs VERY hot, so I've replaced that with a 60A ESC I had laying around. Alternative could be a 50A Hobbywing Skywalker ESC. Y'all have the best grass. Mine was incredibly tail heavy. Had to put 2.3oz of lead. I put in a Castle Creations BEC which made my stock ESC calm down. The S6R was a good call. I put that on my V1 to teach myself basic aerobatics. The "Auto Level" works a treat! Jeeze that thing flies slow....That's almost odd. I didn't see flaps either. I have't flown mine slow like that. Perhaps more piffle, your lacking in balderdash? ;) I put my air brake on my flaps and it works very nicely. DOH! Floaty ain't it?

Yeah the grass on our main club field is extremely good this year. But I doubt the gear doors would have lasted long anyway. Brake is also on flaps channel, but still hangs out a bit, to much work to addjust it.. I'm fine with the way it is. Does fly slow very nice, but 2 parts of the vid are edited in slow-motion, as it was recorded at 60 frames ;)

I'm normaly always edit my videos in a 30 frames timeline, so with 60 frames recorded footage you can slow it down to 50% procent speed. As the extra frames are there it will always be hard to see what's going on apart from seeing an airplane fly rather slow all of a sudden. Guess when listening to the sound (as that is also slowed down) will be the easy way to notis. ;)

Do you by any chance have the size of the larger diameter wheels you utilized to help with grass ops?
