Step No1, work on a towel so the tiny bits don't go ting ting ping ping and disappear when you drop them.

What are you spraying the tubes with to clean them?

If I remember correctly I was using an alcohol based camera lens cleaner. You can use sugar soap too. To be honest it was probably overkill, although after extensive use none of my joins have failed thus far. :)

Stop!!! , I sail my Dragon Force and Dragon Fly in salt water a lot. If you do not apply Corrosion X and Reel X grease to your mast step bearings they will completely rust. Start out right if you’re sailing in salt water! I’m in the process of replacing all my mast foot assembly because of this
