Definitely buy the souvenir before you leave the store, especially if it’s limited edition. If you wait, you’ll be too tired by the end of the day and your party will not want to turn around for it. You can also have certain gifts sent/mailed to your home instead of lugging it around all day. Love your videos AJ!

When they say 'send it home', I assume that counts for Americans only. I imagine it'll cost me another $100 to send it overseas XD Plus I don't end up staying in Disney-oriented/bonded hotels so I doubt they'd HAVE a shop let alone would take anything I bought from the parks. Plus if I left it at one shop I'd completely forget especially if we switch parks and don't want to walk half an hour just to get back to that shop to get the thing. Not to mention, not being American, our Disney Store is so much different than the American one, so I don't think I could be in America, use the store and still have it send overseas for any sensible fee. I don't want to be paying 3 seperate bits and for 4 times as much as the original price, I've done that enough just for unrelated charity merch as dumb as that probably is. A $25 hat turns into £100+ from 3 different payments even to my own post office just to be able to pick it up when it arrives and it's stupidly expensive.

Club level also has free bottled drinks and alcohol. It is "only" an additional $100-$150 a night (not per person) so I think club level is worth for a family of four that has a longer trip and likes to take things slower. It paid for itself with our family eating breakfast there everyday. I like the unlimited drinks, fresh fruit, snacks and the deserts and the food served is the same food served at the hotel restaurants like brisket, mac & cheese, bacon, eggs and more. family of four just for breakfast alone. I enjoy the club level.

I'll be going the end of Sept. I don't mind my kid missing a week of school to spend quality time with his mom and nana. Plus it'll be cooler and hopefully less crowded. Worth it for me.

Biggest pro to going during slow season is it just so happens to be cooler weather, too. Even if July were when the crowds were lowest you couldn't pay me to be outside for hours in Orlando in 110 degrees. I went at the end of February this past year and it never hit above 80!

I'm a local and did have an annual pass on the day that Star War's Galaxy's Edge opened at Hollywood Studios. So I went with the idea that if I didn't get in, I'd go back another time. Surprisingly, because they had been warning people for several weeks about how there was going to be huge crowds and to stay away, most people actually stayed away. There were no lines and it was possible to go on the ride three times in the middle of the afternoon.

In regards to the lightsaber thing. The experience was awesome and I even enjoyed the ceremony. I am not even a fan of star wars and I got chills. The giant smile on my daughters face when she first turned it on was worth it too

Ok the Club Level question is a resounding yes for my family. We stayed club level at the Contemporary in 2017 and it was amazing. My cousin wanted Be Our Guest reservations so bad but we just couldn’t find any. We mentioned this in passing to our concierge and they booked it for us during MNSSHP!! Our admission to the after hours event was comped and we had the most magical experience at Be Our Guest. Our table was next to the window that simulated snow falling. I get emotional thinking about it 🥺 Anyway, Club Level rocks as far as we’re concerned! Talk about above and beyond!

The Club level at the Boardwalk is the best. Love being, "welcome home" as they buzz you in. Plus the free food and drink (at least pre-pandemic) were amazing. You could easily skip breakfast and another meal in the park, thus saving you some bucks. And if you enjoy drinking, they have some amazing complimentary drinks. Hard to beat complimentary booze, considering how much it costs IN the parks.

Exactly what I said. I think it is a great deal for a family because the additional $100- $150 a night pays the price of a daily breakfast and the unlimited bottle drinks. We love Wilderness lodge club level the most because of the price and the food offered, but we haven't stayed at boardwalk club level before. We were EXTREMELY underwhelmed with the floridian club level and the rooms for the price. We didn't pay for the stay at the floridian, but if we did I would have horrible buyers remorse.

@@GlueGunsRoses That would be bad to have paid for a room you didn't enjoy. The Boardwalk had great rooms as I remember, and they club level was in the main building not one of the offshoots. I got a friend a room there at the last minute, and it felt like it was a mile away from the front desk.

The one souvenir that I wanted really badly was the Bruno Spirit Jersey. I was so determined to get it. Everything else I bought was an add on like my sleeping Figment plush. When you walk around a store, holding the dang thing, you know you want it.

I COMPLETELY agree with the souvenirs. After riding cosmic rewind I bought the Novacorp sling bag as soon as I saw it and I love it as it reminds me of my experience on guardians. Whatever souvenir you see, that you truly want, definitely jump on it because Disney will replace it

So I LOVED going to Be Our Guest during the Not So Scary Halloween Party. However, I paid for the party with the intent of riding the rides with low-lines and going to Be Our Guest. I'm not big on parades, I don't need to trick-or-treat so for me it was a no-brainer. Plus, my boyfriend and I dressed as Belle and Gaston and the reaction The Beast gave him during our photo op was priceless.

Buying the first thing…..our experience this Past May with our 9 year old granddaughter: Epcot was our first park and as we stopped at the gift shop on the way out she fell in love with a big Dumbo plush. We (and parents) asked is this what you REALLY want.. this will take all your $$ etc etc. I told her we’re were going to DW as our last park and the stores on Main Street has everything and I was 100% positive it would be there. Tears in place we made her wait. She did see other things in the other parks she contemplated, but she waited…and low and behold…there was Dumbo exactly as a grandma said and she had waited and shopped a bit more and that really was what she wanted to buy!

Hello from the UK AJ! I love your vids so much (and reading all the fun comments too!) I totally believe in purchasing that item if you JUST HAVE to have it. Like you said, you can always return it later in another Disney store. I once left behind a beautiful photo frame in MK because it was one of the first things I saw but I couldn't find it in any other store and I went back several times to the original spot and it had gone for good. Lesson learned!! :D I'm going back in June yay!!! A little later than I would normally go but for som reason we got a better deal in the UK. Xx

We thought we'd see lower crowd levels by waiting until the first week of October for our vacation (Kids back in school, etc.) However, we saw this probably wasn't going to be the case, as all the moderate and value Disney resorts had ZERO availability, and we ended up having to make reservations at Margaritaville Resort (Which we like, so that's not really a sacrifice.) and Universal's Aventura Resort Hotel (Looks nice, but never been there before.).... Part of the reason we chose the first week of October was to do Mickey's Not So Scary..... But I guess we'll see how crowded it gets in a bit over a month from now.

If anyone wants a cool light saber I suggest do not pay extra to do the build a light saber. Get a legacy light saber because in our opinion the build a light saber thing is fun but they aren't as nice quality and they just seem like a gimmick more than anything.

Genie + will always help. There will definitely be some lines 60+ minutes that you can skip with it. For me spending 15$ per person to skip even 2 hour long waits is worth.

I know people in the parks now and they are melting from the heat. The lines are not the longest ever but a lot of them are 45-60 min. So if it was me I’d buy Genie+ because waiting on line in the heat is horrible. I don’t think you’ll be walking on that many rides unless you rope drop and stay past the fireworks. But the middle of the day will be crowded.

Hi AJ On the subject of “club level” I have stayed at A K Lodge Savannah view club level- ( 2019 ) and this year we stayed W D W Dolphin ( Epcot, spaceship earth view) , which far out shone AKL. I can honestly say DO NOT DO CLUB LEVEL! and if passing on my experience might save someone some money then great! In my opinion club level restricted our daily plans , it stopped us eating at different places ( which we did a plenty this year) our view was great ( when we were in the room) but no greater than the one you get from the viewing area 🤷‍♀️. The “free” snacks were repetitive and the “local cuisine” specials are served in the hotel restaurants . The travelling to the other parks got really tedious by the 3/4 th day , as did the ridiculously long waits for the transport and the over crowded night time trawl back . As our first WDW visit it was good but after staying at the VERY convenient and dare I say cheaper Dolphin in January we now realise just how much time, money & fabulous food opportunities we missed out on because we felt that as we’d paid for club level we should use it! NEVER AGAIN! I have commented before about our fabulous stay at the Dolphin and I stand by it- 2024 we will be going back there - I wouldn’t stay anywhere else 👍.

So interesting that I saw this the day after I made a Be Our Guest reservation during my MNSSHP! But here was my logic: I am not a parade/fireworks/show person & I am not interested in meeting a lot of the characters that are going to be at the party. But I am trying to knock out some long-standing "dream" to-dos on a what is effectively only a 2.5 day solo trip. Plus, we're going as a family with my disabled adult son & mother in February (in a club level Poly suite lol) and I'm using some of these meals to pre-screen them to see if they'd be good choices/accessible for them. My party day is also my travel day and this may be the first real meal I eat! So overall it was worth it for me, but if you're a parade/show/big character person I could definitely go with your recommendation of not doing it!
