One of our most uncomfortable moments... We waited in the standard line for pirates. Finally on and the family in front of us on the ride was video taping on their phone with the flash on. They refused to stop even when asked nicely. The cast member let us back on the ride so we could enjoy. Phones are becoming very intrusive!

re: sounds in hotels, it's also reasonably common to hear couples being intimate next door so there may be fun conversations with your family that will ensue, and for those of you who want to enjoy part of your vacation by being intimate in your hotel room, I totally get it, disney can be a romantically great time, but please try to be considerate of those around you, because the walls are very thin.

Loved your mention of the Ralphy-Christmas-Story moment regarding character meet & greets. You should do a whole video on how to handle character meet & greets. There was one time about 20 years ago that my wife and I took our 2 year-old daughter to Disneyland. Pluto, one of my FAVORITE characters, was doing a meet & great near City Hall & the Fire Station. Pluto. That’s important. For some reason I was having such a good time and we were all so excited that I kept telling the character “We love you Goofy! You’re the best Goofy ! You are so awesome Goofy!!” The crowd kept saying “Pluto!” Louder & louder and even the character kept pointing at his nametag PLUTO on his collar and still my brain was in la-la-land and I was not getting it. I just kept on going for a full 1-2 minutes calling Pluto Goofy before my brain and mouth finally got reconnected and I figured out the epic brain-cramp I was undergoing. I apologized, told Pluto how he was my favorite and that it was just temporary insanity brought on by my excitement. It’s been more than 20 years now since that incident and I STILL get teased about that by my family. 😂

I didn’t know fighting families was a thing until I saw a pair of siblings arguing loudly at the station for thunder mountain. They were in the train behind me and continued to argue until dispatch. I once saw a couple of girls maybe 5 and 7 who wanted to try on (or buy) princess dresses in a store. Mom and dad wanted to get going. It turned into a full-fledged battle where the parents were physically slapping the kids around and all four were screaming at the top of their lungs in public. Everybody in that family needed to leave the park and take a long nap at the hotel, but probably nobody would leave because they "wanted to get their money's worth'. Sad situation, and an unhappy family not enjoying their time at a very pricy park.

@@mom2boys170 You're right it is hard to believe because being shocked was not what I insinuated. In the past 2 months, I went to both universal parks, magic kingdom, epcot, and hollywood studios. I didn't see anyone fighting/arguing in any of the parks except MK. It's been many years since I went to a disney park. Like the app didn't exist the last time I went to disney. @@rb5078 Merino wool socks and undergarments are what distance runners and thru hikers use. Another thing they use that's handy at Disney World is bottle filters. The sulfur content in Orlando's water adds an undesirable flavor. Filtration would help, but then you'd be less likely to purchase drinks. Bring a bottle filter that uses activated carbon. Attach it to a collapsible bottle that takes up little space. Viola! Fresh tasting FREE water. Get some ice at quick service spots to cool it down.

For the bank one, as a former customer service rep for a bank: You can also, depending on the bank, call them ahead of time and tell them that you’ll be in the specific state for the length of your vacation and they’ll be able to make sure that no purchases are declined in that state. This also works for Credit Cards!

It's not in the parks, but Yeeha Bob's show at Port Orleans Riverside is definitely an audience participation show and he WILL call on you to do some silly stuff, so if you're uncomfortable with that, don't sit in the main audience section where he will be able to see you and call on you. But if you get caught up in it, just go with it and take comfort in the fact that everyone else is getting called on to do something just as ridiculous and it can be super fun if you just embrace the silly.

AJ should give parenting classes. I know babies cry but kids having full meltdowns in restaurants & parents sitting there ignoring it is unnerving. I don’t care if you validate their feelings or spank them, you do what works for you, but at least ACKNOWLEDGE them, take them outside & do something. Fun fact: simply walking through a doorway can reset an overstimulated brain.

Has the Contemporary changed its walls? My dad used to coordinate meetings at Disney, and we'd get the Presidential Suite to welcome the attendees. Disney was nice enough to let our family stay in that room for the duration of the meeting. I really didn't know how lucky I was! But I don't recall thin walls in the 1980s-90s. The only thing we could hear from the room was the water dragon which drew us to the balconies.

Just to say that human ashes are absolutely not a biohazard. There's no reason anyone would need a special suit to clear them up. Apart from making everyone around them feel more comfortably distant from a reminder of their own mortality. The only potential hazard is that it would not be ideal to breath them in, but that's not particularly likely.

I had a meltdown once at a Disney restaurant. There were five of us, two kids and three adults. Um... I was one of the adults. Very embarrassing. Way too much over stimulation that day. Know thyself before going and take lots of breaks as needed. It's almost impossible to have fun if you are completely freaking out, so for those of us who can end up in grown-up meltdown mode, it's best to cut out some of the activity and schedule time outs, so we can enjoy the times we are doing things.

1. Anti fungal cream is also a good idea. It may sting a little but it goes a long way towards keeping things from getting a little too ugly. 2. This is why its a good idea to consider emergency gift cards. You never know when that random card could end up being a life saver. 3. This is why some times it wise to have solo time. This is a brief time where family member that are old enough will split off to do stuff they want alone. Its sort of a stress release that soon or later all of us need. 4. Headphones and white noise generator ie rain storm audio can cover up even the loudest of sounds next door. Just remember to go bluetooth instead of corded as you do not want to choke in your sleep. 5. A sense of humor is always a plus in various situations. When in a super long line I joked that I thought this was the line for the bathroom. When test track broke down I joked that maybe one of us would have to get out of the ride and push. Humor always brings levity to awkward situations. 6. Always beware when the lazy river is full. I call this bait bucket lines. Its like thousands of squirming fish all swimming in a big bait bucket. Fish have no rules. Fish have no etiquette. No boundries. The same is true when there is too many people in a lazy river. Avoid this if you do not want to be driven mad by rude tourists or kicked because some fool wants to treat the lazy rive like a swimming pool. 7. See number 3. 8. This is why salt or seasoning shakers are nice for spreading ashes instead of dropping great grand mama's ashes on the ground like dust pile you swept up with a dust pan. Sprinkle a couple here and there and its hardly noticeable. Dump a big old dust cloud of ashes will only be a mess for someone else to clean up.

They were just being picky about anything and everything because of the heat and humidity. I kept entertaining the kids so that standing in line was more bearable. This didn’t go over well with my sister and you can imagine the anger growing because she found it annoying even though her kids cut out their rambunctiousness.

I've been riding flight of passage and tron since they came out. I'm not exactly a small person. I have never had one second of discomfort with how you sit or with how my body touches the seating area. Just because it's different doesn't mean it's uncomfortable for everyone.

We vistited Blizzard Beach on a particluarly slow day and I rode the chair lift up with my family who all rode slush gusher of which I wanted no part. I wanted to ride Teamboat Springs so I got in line where there was just one family in front of me...and no one behind me. After somewhat loudly determining that I was alone, the cast member told me to get in the boat with the family. One leg in, the mom yells, "we don't want her to ride with us!". The cast member explained that I couldn't go alone so I had to go with them. Yep, it was an uncomfortable ride down for sure, but memorable and we laugh about it now.

Baby butt balm helps with swamp crotch and butt. Both are vicious in FL in summer. I have seen adults have meltdowns at the parks.

I was made uncomfortable by Disney on our trip in May when we were exiting Creations shop in Epcot after purchasing a plush Figment and the alarm at the door went off. Everyone stared at my daughter and I and I turned around to show the castmember at the door what we bought and the receipt. He said it may have been a security tag but there wasn’t one on Figment. He had an attitude of why I was upset but it made me feel like a criminal although I did nothing wrong. 😢

I put on a really nice jumpsuit outfit at Hollywood studios. I found out that day what chaffing was, and that I no longer had a thigh gap!!! Neither of those facts were fun!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!! 😂

How come magic closing at 10 P.M. this summer. We get less for our money. And animal Kingdom closing at 6 P.M. most summer days. Getting ripped off again.

We just got back from Disney Sunday morning, Its been a long 12 years. Although it was AMAZING & MEMORABLE for my family. I have to say that Disney has lowered their quality of Cast members. I remeber 12 years ago that every cast member was always happy - very nice & never ever sensed any attitude from cast members. But I would have to say this time around about 30% maybe 40% of cast members were not so pleasant. Even at the start of the day @rope drop on a ride - cast members looked miserable & didn't want to answer question. I can understand maybe after 6hrs of a shift their "nice/happy/Disney" attitude wears off - I totally get it. But at rope drop start of the day. Other than the attitudes we encountered - it was great. Expext to drop a total of 10-12k for a family of 5. It's atrocious how expensive Disney has become. Just my 2cents.
