Thank you for making new videos so quickly AJ. If you do another lessons learned you should include disney's ID policy when ordering alcohol on the property. Right off the bat I have to say that I LOVE Chef Mickey's. I know AJ and her crew believe that there are many better places to eat and perhaps they are right. But speaking strictly for my wife and I we love the place. Everything AJ said in her review is correct! It is loud. It is crowded. The characters don't spend a lot of time at your table. And the food is adequate, not spectacular (except the cheesy potatoes which are actually to die for). But none of those things are necessarily negatives for us. My kids are grown, so it's just my wife and me. We aren't picky about where we sit or the food we eat. The characters come to our table even though we don't have any little ones with us. They spend what seems like just the right amount of time with us, then we LOVE watching them interact with the kids at the other tables. Last time we were there, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy came by in rapid succession, so I remarked privately to my wife that we met the whole crowd except for Goofy, and a manager overheard me and got Goofy to make a special trip to our table. It was truly magical! We are frequent guests there, and look forward to each and every visit.

The Step Sisters are my favorite characters to have met in all my years visiting Disney. They were trash talking Cinderella and the castle and trying to get the men eating at the restaurant to agree to be their princes. One kept asking my brother if he had a castle and if his castle had a giant hole in it.
@Fraction133 жыл бұрын
Everybody's love of Boma baffles me. It was some of the worst food I've ever had and most of the other diners at tables around me (including adults) were only eating the options from the like "safe" kid-friendly section like chicken fingers and mac and cheese.

The yak and yeti info is slightly false. You do get extras if you're a landrys select club member, it does cost 25 to sign up and you do get that back but it isn't immediately, it takes about 24hrs after you register the card online so sign up ahead of time. You get 25 dollar credits for every 250 spent combined in any of the restaurants as well and those rewards are also available the next day. Another bonus is priority seating so if you show up and the restaurant is on a wait list, mention you're a landrys member and it moves you to the top of the list.

We did breakfast at the Be Our Guest restaurant, but we knew about the side room (the rose room to the left). I know the breakfast was standard meh, but the atmosphere in the room was awesome (my daughter loved it) and we got in before rope drop for some great pics with less crowds! DFB talked about it in a video last year, so I knew what I was in for, and I was ok with the negatives in order to get the positives. but Definitely do the rose room if you're going for breakfast. It's first come, first serve, so you have to take your chances, but we loved it.

Chef Mickey I loved as a kid, but as a teenager it got old. Me and my parents always stayed in the Grand Floridian, and my favorite restaurant for breakfast was actually the one in the hotel, where they had the Mickey waffles with sprinkles. OMG they were so good, and then I remember always rushing my parents to finish breakfast because we would take the to one of the parks after it. Also, there was a really bad quick service place in the grand floridan I loved because it had an arcade in it. We ate there a few times when we didn't have time to eat in the parks.

These tips are useful, and I am a fan of the DFB videos and website. Any info available on Disney vacations is good to know. HOWEVER, it us hard to put into context comments such as "mediocre," "really pricey," and "super expensive." Ratings and comparisons are more useful, and offer ways to evaluate the choices. "As of summer 2020, the average ticket for 2 adults and 2 pre-teens, for lunch at Olivia's was $80, excluding gratuity." This included sodas and tea, an appetizer, and entrees for each person. They skipped dessert and had a quick service breakfast four hours earlier. Menu items are shareable, and our pre-teens said it was better than most park food. Mom compared it to non-park restaurants like Mimis. "It's a place Grandma would like." Maybe have more information and concentrate on fewer restaurants at a time. Or cover one aspect such as service, atmosphere, or a specific item. For example, the famousCobb Salad at The Brown Derby in Hollywood Studios is chopped. One listener specfically doesn't order it because of that.

A idea for a future show if to answer questions from readers about dining or hotels by going to the place in question. Maybe one person gets on answer, and another person gets a different answer, which is ok, because a point these videos make is that there is inconsistency, and that's ok, too. For example, can I get a Cobb Salad at Brown Derby that is unchopped? Will my hotel allow a late checkout? Just random things.

I went to Be Our Guest in October for dinner. I only liked the lobster soup which is the entre or something and I liked the desert. Other than that, the food wasn't very good, however I loved getting to look into the different rooms even though I didn't eat in all the rooms I still got to look at them and meeting the Beast was so fun. Also the waiters were really nice. I went to the Fountain (I think it was the Fountain) near the Dolphin Hotel and we went there mainly for the shakes. One of the most popular was the Peanut Butter and Jelly shake however I did not like it and barely drank any of it. Most people tend to like it but I didn't and the rest of the food was basically fast food stuff. Not very many options for vegetarians or vegans.
