Dear colleagues, I’m sorry but I cannot send you Simulink files. The video tutorial is just one more tool that can help to learn by oneself. If the objective is ‘to learn’, I think that I would not help sending you the files. Just the opposite. If we do a parallelism, if the objective is ‘to learn’ to ride a bicycle, one has to learn by himself/herself. Watching to other people how they ride can be useful (these video tutorials), but you have to do it by yourself. I am afraid thet there is no other path, if the objective is ‘to learn’. Thank you for your attention.

Simply by using the stator voltage equation, assuming the steady-state and neglecting the voltage droop at the stator resistance, we have (approx.): |Vs| = 2*pi*f*|Fs| ( sqrt(2/3) is to transform to phase-to-neutral and peak voltage/flux amplitudes )

can you please clarify how you could obtain the value of inertia constant J=127, because this value is different from the values given with WT data in book 'DOUBLY FED INDUCTION MACHINE' where in this book JG=90kg/m^2 and JWT=800kg/m^2 best regards

I am trying to have a stator voltage oriented control model. I have developed the controller for the rotor side however, the change in Iqr affects the Tem instead of Idr affecting the Tem. What could be wrong with my set up?

Sir if any fault occur in grid side so why Rotor winding is disconnect and stator winding connected during fault how it is possible bcoz in DFIG, stator and rotors both are connected to grid.

Error in port widths or dimensions. Output port 1 of 'DFIG/Control/Cancelation of cc' has 2 elements. This port does not accept the dimensions (or orientation) specified by the output signal I cant solve this problem :( Can anyone help me, The files are ready to be send

Hello. Thank you for this Tutorial. I simulate it but I had a little different result in speed and rotor current. in my results : the speed will not go under the synchronous speed and so I do not have that sub-synchronous part in rotor current. can anyone help about that ?

very helpful ! thanks a lot! But there is some issus with this model as some comments show below: the speed and the torque cannot follow the regulatuion. I have checked for serval times the model, I found the problem comes from the sauration of PI controller for Iq, the saturation limit value is too low. If you remove the saturation or change the Vbus to 1150 V, regulation will be ok.

Hello Mr. Chenchen, I would like your help as I am also facing the same issues with speed and torque. The reference speed is around 141 whereas the speed reaches just above 133. even the reference torque is around -1650 but the actual torque oscillated around Zero. I tried making Vbus as 1150 V but did not work for me. Sir can you plzz share the values of PI controllers you have placed to get the correct graphs? Looking for to a positive response. Nice to see this series for learning! I want to bring your notice that the oscillations in torques are 50Hz i.e grid frequency and they are not damp even if we increase Inertia. Secondly, the flux damping during grid fault is the big issue in DFIG as it needs few seconds to get completely damp depending on the Stator time constant (Ls/Rs). Is there a way to damp this oscillation and reactive power loop which you haven't implemented in this video can be made and be stable during Grid faults. Also can you please recommend any book for DC link voltage controller tuning and for the notch or low pass filter to remove 100Hz oscialltion during negative sequence decomposition?

Thank you for the wonderful video sir. On page 147 of the book you referenced "DOUBLY FED INDUCTION MACHINE" by R. Abari et al.,the output of the integrator of PLL is the angle of the grid voltage but in page 281 of the other book "POWER ELECTRONICS FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEMS, TRANSPORTATION AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS" 90 degree was subtracted from the output of PLL to get the same grid voltage angle. Please can you explain the reason for this? Does it have anything to do with using stator voltage oriented control or stator flux oriented control?

These transformations are made by himself. They are not exist you need to build them one by one according to their equations

Thanks very much for the step-by-step demonstration. It helped a lot. The parameters worked for R2022b, though I think the motor block was a bit different, mainly, the rotor/stator voltage ratio parameter was introduced. If I use the default value 1, I got almost the same results as those in the tutorial. So I am a bit confused about the parameter turn's ratio, u, in the tutorial and how it is implemented in the simulation model. But as someone just starting to study the motors, building a simulation model by myself is definitely more interesting than just reading books. Estimated time to build and debug this model following the instructions: 5-6 hours. search: DFIG_tutorial_Simulink

@@5minutething519 Hi sir, my simulation is working fine but when i increase my reference speed above 140 it is unable to follow it(maximum speed is limited to 139.7) and there is a constant difference between my ref torque and measured torque despite my iqr following iqr ref accurately. Can you suggest some solution or what may be the problem ( I tried changing gains values)?

@@Vishalgupta-lp1qc 1. make the ststor rotor gain u=1. 2. see that electrical and mechanical torque will be related as Te=p*Tm 3. also at rated torque your speed may not track rated speed , slghtly reduce the torque . 4. also play with dc link. increase it and see Try these . Also comment your reference values if still not working

I am trying to simulate tutorial 1. In matlab, filed initital condition for asynchronous machine , if set to 10000000 and 00000000 we get different waveforms . There is no clear explanation regarding these fields. Could you plz clear this. Multiple times i had gone thorugh the video. Not able to simulate the same results. Hope you will respond positively.

that corresponds to the slip, if slip =1 means at t=0, the machine speed =0, if the slip is 0, this means at t=0, the machine starts from the synchronous speed. if you still dont understand this, please look for the definition of the Slip and what is represents

How the inverter is VSI the maximum and minimum peak of sinusoidal waveform is just half of the DC link power source. and the Max and min values are related with nominal values in the problem.

Hi, does someone knows how to solve this problem? " The Voltage Measurement block 'DFIG/Three-Phase V-I Measurement1/Model/U A:' is connected between two isolated networks. For a valid measurement, the positive and negative terminals of the block must be connected to electrical nodes that are part of the same electrical circuit. Also check if the ground reference node is defined for that circuit. "

Actually, i found out his capital letter DQ means just αβ0. You can import from Simulink library dq0-to-abc and abc-to-dq0 blocks with the angle w*t as input. It's quicker. Or do it step by step dq0-to-αβ0 then αβ0-to-abc, so on

Sir, In the video the speed catches with the speed reference at about 1.8sec with Tem =0. but in my simulation it is about 30sec. Could you please help me out?

Hello. Thank you for your comments. In ‘DFIM Tutorial 6’, one possible option to obtain the gains for the PI controllers is explained. In case you have difficulties with the rest of the blocks, you can find more information in referenced books at the tutorials or some other equivalent books
