Thats not exactly true. Kam, Scar, Dreko, Qel, and a bunch of others on Next Chapter play every game just about as hard and as skillfully as they can. These guys were also playing pretty hard but Fomby and Trel were big let downs as far as what we normally see from them. The rest of them were just having an off game but they were still trying.

There are some glaring issues here other than the obvious lack of energy, missed shots and sloppiness. 1. Lack of team ball. Wheres the off ball screens? Pick n rolls? Most of the FGs made were simply from isos or a simple drive and kick out. 2. Every time a shot was up, pretty much everybody was passive and nobody was crashing the board except for moon. Box out! 3. Terrible shot selections. For a team to go 12/49 and still win just shows a lot. Also i think the reason why people were so heated in the chat is because TNC set the bar so high with past videos that when they see a bad game like this, they feel super underwhelmed. We've seen what the boys can do and we know they're way better than this.

Friga I’m saying this as a believer in you and Scotty. You guys want TNC to be one of the biggest leagues in the world, It really seems like the usuals are taking this opportunity for granted, they’re not competing the way they used to, they’re feeling themselves a little too much. Your KZbin channel is almost at a million subs and your will to compete is something to be studied , you always give it your all. Shoutout to the guys like Qel, kam Scar, moon etc who actually compete on a night to night basis

You do bad and the world will fry you. Seems when that is on the line then you’ll see people’s best versions of themselves. Not all . Just some

@MrSheduur10 ай бұрын
stop it! this was no tactic, he did it the entire game, standing around flatfooted and missing layups not even hitting the rim, he had an open layup in the beginning, went for glass and the ball did NOT effin touch the basket, thats how OFF he was in terms of composure and energy lol... there is nothing in this game which would be a valid excuse, that whole tactical decision thing is grasping at straws because Friga and most of us don't want to be too harsh on Fomby, but tbh, he absolutely needs to hear it for this game lol.
@lowkeyIbes10 ай бұрын
They didn’t tho lol
@Tamiere10 ай бұрын
What you gotta understand is even those misses are still helping the other team warm up with the shots they want. Even tho they missed a couple with his tactic, they are shooting wide open and atp it’s just practice and adjustments for their next shots. So I may miss a wide open shot as a shooter but now I can adjust and get warm for my next shot, so even if you or your teammates actually defend, I’m more likely to hit. Notice how trell was bricking but it only took 2 misses for his next wide open one to fall.

I've said many times that these guys get paid, and play on a platform with a lot of people watching. If they're at least not gonna play as hard as they can every time, there are plenty of other players just as good who will take it seriously. Its insulting to see people who get to do this as a job and continually act like they're too cool or something. Also, too much 1v1 stuff starts to make everyone about themselves. I know people like 1s, but I'd rather watch actual basketball where guys have to play with people.

Frig, I’m gonna be one of the only people to voice a counter opinion. As I was watching this game, I did not particularly notice an issue with Fomby’s defense. It’s easy to criticize him afterwards and say that he was selling and he had no energy and whatever else people have been saying. Here’s the thing, as we have all been mentioning, EVERYONE in the game was shooting poorly from 3. Fomby was just waiting for people to hit shots before he decided to play up on them and no one ever kept him honest by hitting the shots consistently. He was distributing well for his team, and my personal issue with Fomby in this game as I was watching was simply that I wanted him to look for his shot more aggressively. Fomby I’m sure is not sure what the chemistry is supposed to be, and all the guys are trying to not step on each others toes and be respectful while still being them. Was fomby perfect? Of course not! Was anyone on his team much better? I don’t much think so. As a team Rob’s team needs to align themselves and figure out team identity. Fomby himself can be expected to regress back to the mean and put up much better performances than this in the future regardless.

For my two cents, I don’t mind too much about Fomby letting people shoot if that’s what he decides to do. That’s 100% a mind game. A shooter isn’t used to people just not closing out on them, lord knows it’s definitely affected me in this type of setting. And the thing is, when Fomby was letting them shoot, they still weren’t hitting the shots for the most part. I get it him being criticized for the energy part of it but at the end of the day he’s doing what he thinks is going to get him the win and the money.
