Two killed in Russian strike on Kyiv as Ukraine confirms Kursk incursion
Ukraine is bracing for more Russian attacks in retaliation for its cross-border incursion into Russia’s Kursk region. At least two people have been killed and three others wounded in an overnight Russian air strike outside of Kyiv, Ukrainian officials have said.
A four-year-old boy and his 35-year-old father were killed in the attack on Sunday just east of Kyiv, which President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed involved a North Korean-made missile.

Trump recovering at New Jersey golf club
Trump has indicated he has every intention of showing up at the Republican National Convention (RNC) later this week and give a speech where he’s expected to name his vice presidential candidate that will be running against him.
But for now, he’s here in Bedminster at his golf club; this is a place that he likes to spend time in the summer and he’s there recovering presumably until he heads to the RNC.
Authorities here are taking every precaution.
We saw it as we were trying around the golf club - it’s a very rural, farmland type area but all of the entrances to the golf club were blocked by police cars. Media was not allowed to stop along the way, we are a good few kilometres away from its entrance.
Security has been heightened not only here in New Jersey but also in New York, at Trump Tower, where supporters of Donald Trump have been stopping to pay their respects.

The Israeli government has issued its first official remarks on Hamas’s response to a possible truce deal, stating that the group’s comments are being studied by all parties involved in the mediation process, but offering few details.
“Hamas’s reply has been conveyed by the Qatari mediator to the Mossad. Its details are being thoroughly evaluated by the officials involved in the negotiations,” a statement from Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, the Mossad, said on Tuesday, per the office of the prime minister.
