Kroll had some pretty good instrumental music in it.

The first time I watched this I didn't realize Ben had found the enemies. I thought he'd wandered into a group of nearby villagers and started throwing shit.

You weren't. I went to see it in the theater when it came out with a few friends. It wasn't great but we enjoyed it.

1:42 in the Nier Automata eye patches are nanocrystalline flexible visor glasses, but I can’t imagine what function eye patches have in fantasy.

Another great skit and awesome review! DG360 Thanks! VLDL are masters at this. I follow a few other good D&D/MMO type sketch groups, but these folks have it down so well. #1 red flag in an MMO...the player who is a legend in their own mind. Some of the most fun I've ever had in WoW, was being at Crossroads with my Blood Elf huntress after getting the "Mazzranache" (pink flamingo). A big, bad Orc warrior laughed and challenged me to a duel. Never laugh at my flamingo, she gets upset.

A lot of blind character's aren't the best marksmen, but they are usually shown as being the most aware of their surroundings. The trope usually is that whatever power let's them "see" does so in a 360 degree range with perfect awareness of everything in it while normal people are limited to 180 degree vision with their normal eyes and can only focus on a limited number of things. The example you used, Daredevil, is a perfect example of this. His enhanced senses and radar senses make him aware of EVERYTHING in his immediate surroundings, including things even our best tech can't detect, making him a really good combatant and marksmen but not as good as others like Hawkeye and Bullseye who's entire skillset revolve around their aim.

DG, love the way your mind went straight to Krull, a cheesy movie that often hits you in the feels (The Cyclops sacrificing himself for example. Yeah, that movie has a place in my heart too). If the Glaive was inspired by the legends of the Chakram, Bollywood probably has Krull beat on the whole psychically controlled spinning blade thing first being shown on the big screen. Sorry, but I am hoping you find that possibility interesting. As far as I am aware, India has the oldest running culture still maintaining it's roots. Even if the CCP hadn't severed China's old culture, they would still fall second place. Ok, hadn't planned on a lesson on ancient cultures and weaponry when I awakened just an hour ago. I hope it was enjoyable and not a boring drag. Thanks DG

HE WAS NOT USING A GLAIVE HE WAS USING A 2 ENDED THROWING DAGGER OF SORTS. ALSO A GLAIVE IS A POLE ARM NOT A THROWING WEAPON. lol STRANGE HOW THEY CALLED KRULLS weapon A GLAIVE when it was basically a large shuriken

Not a Glaive, a glaive is a single edged blade on a pole arm. These are more closely related to the Wind and Fire wheels and double deer horns used in Taijiquan, hence why we had Ben imitate wushu poses and and moves (some didn't make the final edit)

originally warframe was gonna be a singleplayer but the company didn't like it so they forced digital extremes to make it into Dark Sector by the time they got around to warframe the vision had changed in the development video on creating warframe they discuss how they were inspired by krull to use that weapon it was not as commonly used in 3d games as it is now I guess the closest would be the boomerangs in the zelda series I think I still have dark sector for the 360 somehwere i've always liked weapons with unique mechanics sort of like the dark prince's daggertail in PoP: The Two Thrones and later the similar weapons in prototype

characters like this have blindfolds for the same thing that blind people wear glasses in real life, so it's all logical actually
@DG360 Жыл бұрын
Good thing I'm not a logical dude. As a dude whose going blind, I'm eventually just gonna let you all look at my eyes. In my mind it's more logical so you can see how sucky it is to not see. Seems more logical to me.
