Just so you know the guy in the moon, attempted su*icide due to public scrutiny. It was a mess in the past, its scary how public can easily break a person. He is not the first though, a lot of idols/celebs had committed su*cide already due to online bullying and it was sooo sad. Thats the anger and sadness he was talking about and he wants to change it.

The guy on the moon tried to end his life after he got hates after he got caught smoking MJ And the guy on the boat is known to be religious + the curly haired guy turn into religion a few years back when he was involved in a DUI (NOTE BEFORE ANYONE ASSUMING I'M ATTACKING DAESUNG: The guy who died in the accident did the DUI. No charges filed against Daesung. Still, it of course gave Daesung a very difficult moment in his life that he had to go through so he can come back in society and stand on stage again, but for God's sake just google the whole thing if anyone wants to know about it before assuming anything or attacking anyone). Also now it's only 4 of them. So many harsh things they're experiencing these past few years despite being the Kings of the industry..

The kings of kpop, indeed. The idols of idols. I am still crying. As a long-time VIP, this hits really hard. Especially when you get to know their stories, the symbolisms in the MV will make more sense. TOP’s verse particularly (the guy in the moon/space). How he is saying goodbye, and the anger and sadness. He got embroiled in issues and he also left YG already, and he suffered from mental health issues as well. The goodbye is also like goodbye to all the pain as he will be starting a new life. That quote is from the Psalms-and it says that after all the challenges they faced, it is now a time for joy. This is goodbye to Big Bang and a move to their new individual paths. In itself, the song is very emotional, but it will hit harder once you get to know their stories.

Sadly, all of them have suffered from mental health issues except Taeyang or at least he hasn't made any public. G-Dragon's Kwon Ji Yong album was about his mental health issues and Daesung came close to suicide in 2011 and still stays clear of social media to this day.

the first line and the last line from Taeyang are basically the "chorus". songs dont really need a typical "pop chorus" th be "complete". alot of rock ballads are structured like this(see the beatles for example)

The Korean song title "봄여름가을겨울" means spring, summer, autumn and winter and the lyrics are about the four seasons. In the MV, the four sons of BIGBANG were shot separately in 4 scenes. Just like the four seasons can't get together. One of the member will probably be absent forever but his position is no one can replace.

I’m a casual Bigbang fan coz I found out about them when Blackpink covered their song Loser. Thats when I started watching their MVs and performances. I must say they are the KINGS of Kpop. No other group can be like them. And this is my first comeback of them and I feel like the song isnt a comeback but a goodbye like what you said. I was in tears after watching the MV. Ever since I've been watching reaction videos, I've decided to revisit this song to reactions, and now my waves of emotions are returning. These kings were my first introduction to kpop in 2007 and because of them, majority of my listening has been kpop. As a TOP bias, his scene and verse hit me really hard. Glad you pointed out TOP's expression because after all he went through, this comeback is his way of telling the world about how he felt through it all. The 4 chairs represents 4 members including the one who left because GD has his own chair being the directors chair.

I cant stop crying when i listen this song, i really miss them so much! I was very hard for BIGBANG and VIP in these 5 years, we received a los of hate of kmedia and other fandoms, but we stay strong protecting BIGBANG 🤧 They learned us never give up and fight for our dreams despite not having the approval of society and all try to minimize us. I'm VIP since 2008 when i was 12 years old and now i'm 26 years old, i'm a adult now and i always grateful with BIGBANG for accompany me in all these years, I grew up listening to their songs. And this song is so special for VIP because they kept their promise to come back when the flowers bloom 🤧 and i only want to say Thank you BIGBANG, for give us this beautiful gift. I can’t remember what flower it is but a Korean said that the flower they chose represents honor and Victory. Big Bangs former member is named Seungri which means victory in Korean and yellow is VIPs official color so it’s like a trinity between all of us. Thank you so much for your reaction. I found the real quote somewhere on Instagram and it actually says happier times are coming. But everything in bigbang's music video are intentional so I believe they put it like that for people to have their own interpretation of their future, or bigbang's future. The more I watched it, the more things I notice and the more it resonates with me. They went through so many things, some of them have had suicidal thoughts. The part where the rapper sings 'for life' hits hard. It reminds me of my lowest days and how I struggle to go through it, for life. I think the more you know about their past, the more this song will hit you. Thank you bigbang

I was lost for words for a while when I first watched the MV. It took a while for me to process. I think I understand the message they are trying to convey, but I cannot express it properly in words. And to think that you make this analysis without knowing them or their stories is just simply amazing. The message in this song hits hard for me as a fan of them since 2009 and for me as a person. This song feels like a mature goodbye - "Let's be apart to grow and learn to be a better person. Thank you for all these times" - which makes the song even more beautiful and heartbreaking. I hope happier times are truly coming for all of us. And yes, Taeyang (the first singer in the ship scene) and Daesung (Curly hair singer) are both known to be very religious, Taeyang especially so. I cried when I watch this, I've been their fans since 2014 and this comeback really sound like a farewell song as a group (BigBang) before they focus on each of their solo activity, which is sad for me because I love their music as a group more than a duo/solo. There are so many bad thing happen on some of the members at the past but right now I just hope they will forget all those bad thing and focus on their present and future. Big bang has 5 members before but now just 4 of them. The theory said 4 chairs of the MV are 4 members of big bang and the last chair with 'kwon ji yong' is GD (boy with umbrella) chair as a leader. So they still 5 members even if seungri doesn't there

A thousand years can pass and this song will always make me cry like the first time I saw it. This song overwhelms you with many feelings from Big Bang's entire career. Big Bang is 5 members but one he had legal problems and is no longer in the band. Big Bang is characterized more by its happy and party songs, but even in the sad ones they always appeared in their videos together. This was the only they were not joined anywhere in the video. Even in some of their videos they appeared together sitting on thrones because they are considered the kings of the 2nd gen, that represented the chairs but a sad way And of course they had to face a lot throughout their career, rumors, hate, and all the bad things that fame entails. BigBang was really able to get the right emotions across - the melancholy, nostalgia. The way you described Top's face with the anger and hurt then the acceptance and that he is moving on with life. The song held their messages to fans.. Top, the one for winter, left the agency. He is still part of BigBang but will be pursuing some solo activities for now and it may take time until he gets to be with the group again. He is one of the two members who was involved with issues during their recent hiatus when they started serving their military duties. One of their members left the group due to scandals and I think this song is a perfect way for them to still show their love for their brother. It seems like they have come to terms with all that had happened to them no matter how unfair some are (in my opinion). They are acknowledging that BigBang will not be the same and pay homage as well as properly say goodbye to that BigBang so they can move on with their lives. I really hope they will continue to make and share their music to us be it solos, units, or maybe when the time comes that they will come back as a group again.

Watched with the lyrics and I completely understood what the song was about. And like I said in the video I felt like it was a perfect ending song. Which technically it was. I've been a fan of Big Bang for a long time, so I'm definitely not new to them and what they've achieved and endured over the years. In fact they didn't even get together because they are individual scenes, at no time are they together. So we can only remember the old times and cry with nostalgia. I thought it was cruel for the company to put a hope in our hearts to come back and release a farewell MV, it hurt a lot on impact, it made my vip heart bleed, I'm in tears. 😭😪😭💔🖤

Sorry for such a big comment. 😅There is a lot of symbolism in this song, and the video consists of many hidden details. Since you are analyzing the values of the references in the clip, I want to give you some information. The band has really come a long way, having faced a lot of difficult situations. One of them is the scandal with the fifth member of the group (Seungri), who was convicted and is now serving time in prison (in short, he was convicted to a greater extent without direct evidence under pressure from public opinion, later he had to confess, but perhaps this was done to reduce the sentence, this is the conclusion drawn from the course of the trial). In the video, it seemed to me (and not only to me) a lot of hints that they lost a member, for example, a guy who sits in a chair behind Daeseong, and then disappears. In addition, as you have already noticed on these chairs, I came across an interesting theory that I personally believe in. In fact, there are 5 chairs, first we are shown 4 chairs standing next to each other, and then another director's chair. You can notice that G Dragon's real name is written on the director's chair, so this is his chair (as the leader of the group), and the other 4 chairs are the rest of the members, and if you look closely, you will notice that the right chair is deformed unlike the others, so this is probably a reference to Seungri. The left chair is also slightly scratched (maybe this is a reference to the TOP, who continues to be a member of the group, but left YG). If we take into account (at least)all that I have already written, we can conclude that maybe this is their last comeback. All in all, we will follow their work further and enjoy new songs while there is an opportunity. PS correct me if I got something mixed up, I just had to study a lot of information in English, which is not my native language and I could misunderstand something...

"Happier times are coming". That was what it's supposed to be. However, don't you think it's weird that it was covered in such a way that if nobody knows it, they will understood it as "Happier times are gone". He knows what he's doing. The chairs, the signs, the clock and many of the signs were from the leader who wrote the song. I believe he's also the person who help designed the set too.
