😂 I love Ahyeon, ‘cause in their previous songs Ahyeon did those high pitched notes and people were saying that she was screaming and more, and then in Drip Ahyeon says ‘watch me do it all again’ like ‘I don’t care, you hate it? I’ll do it more’ 😂 and then she goes like three octaves immediately followed by that music which makes it even more cool. Like ‘I’ll do it and you’ll like it’ 💯

This is the very first song I’ve heard from Baby Monster and I’m OBSESSED I usually don’t like girl groups because I don’t like the bubbly pinky pop sound, but this group seems to have a more hip hop vibe! Now I need to listen to every song 😂

i’m glad you’re seeing babymonster now!! trust me as someone who started off with girl groups, there is a LOT MORE than the bubbly sound: my favorites are dreamcatcher (they’re rock and metal if you’re into that), and kiss of life (more on the hip hop side, check out get loud and nattys solo sugarcoat) You hear a lot of bubbly things nowadays as a contrast to the super big wave of “girl crush” back in the 3-4th gen, so you could also check out groups like blackpink that popularized that kind of music in kpop sorry this is kind of long haha but I hope you find it helpful in some way!!

Now, about the hip hop vibe, you haven't heard the company's girl groups yet. But BlackPink and 2ne1 are also hip hop coded so you may like or love their songs as well. They're all under YG Entertainment, if you're familiar with Psy, Big Bang and iKON, even Treasure, then you'll know their genre.

Asa's part is insane. She raps some of their best writing. While we focus on lyrics, we forget how great the rhyme is: *Brra* A *ssa* . Let em out. Mon *sta* , mon *sta* , mon *sta* . Come to con *qua* . Baby, holla wha *ssa* . We the *bess* , the *ress* , con- *fess* , we *bless* ed. Paneul *bek* -palship-do *bek* -weo. Singing multiple A-sound scheme, Es-sound scheme, Bek-sound scheme. I even believe the lyric Let Em Out and Monster is also refers to Eminem. Double layer lyric. And the way she make it sounds, sounds amazing.

It's such a good song and M/V, SOTY. The girls all kill and look amazing. Raps, vocals, choreo, all amazing.
