Is it just me that felt like the MV took a much darker turn in the last minute? Its a fairly interesting story about society and being scared to show your real self, and then we get to the "locked up while wrapped up in that pretty package" and the bird in the golden cage. A gilded cage is still a cage, and living in luxury while having no freedom is basically the life of idols; birds living in a gilded cage.

I love how much of this music video was commentary. I love how they talked about what’s real vs what’s trending. I love cutting the strings because they’re not puppets. I love the “you can’t stop the smoke” because where there’s smoke there’s fire and it’s “thick as fog”. Stray kids ready to expose all the fakeness!!! Also we know what the lock was in reference to from the trailer now. And I still want a series based on it 😭 I love them so much! also love your reactions ☺️ knew you’d love this one the second you heard it.

Thank you so much for another Stray Kids reaction! I was really looking forward to your interpretation to this one (I always am, but this time I was a bit more confused - maybe because it's friday and my brain melted completely at work), and your interpretation of the lyrics linked to the setting of the MV made it so clear! I love the way you explain things, it's really interesting and it blew my mind. I don't know if I already told you this but your voice has such a calming and comforting tone, it makes everything better :) I'm not a native english speaker, and I understand everything you say perfectly right away. In a platform so full of loud and over the top reactors (which is not a bad thing, tastes are different for everyone), you are a gem. When you show excitement I feel it one hundred times more, it's so much more meaningful. Keep doing the good work, you nail it every single time, I'm always amazed

Just my opinion but, when they talk about Frankstein maybe they can be referring to a persona created to be accepted by society, because Frankstein was created by different people parts they can mean (I don´t know how to explain it properly) something like: Walking as someone, persona, created by various interactions to fit properly in society despite not being like how I really am inside.

As a metal-head you give much more insightful analysis than most reactors. It is rare and boring when a band writes lyrics that don’t need some sort of breakdown. I can’t tell you how many reactions I’ve watched where a reactor will go off on a “failed relationship” tangent when the song is about anything but. Perhaps it is their own projection. 🤷♂️

Thank you thank you thank you for your in-depth analysis of the lyrics and message of Maniac! It's such a refreshing take on the theme of being your true self and it was executed so well throughout the entire production. You mentioned a lot of issues with social media and the fast-paced digital world we live in, which I think holds such relevance to this concept.

Twitter is also an insanely cool possibility! There are so many different thoughts and theories, I'm in awe of this concept 😁 And thank you 🙏
@Official_OiYou2 жыл бұрын
I've heard a few theories... I think it has multiple meanings. Like, the calm version they show in public vs their chaotic minds... Or, like the canary in a mine - the song is the warning. I've even heard someone say that Felix is the group's canary due to his sunny disposition, yet low tolerance for bs. Also, notice at the end of the video, when back to "normal", the bird is caged.
@Tokki572 жыл бұрын
Twitter was the first thing I thought of, too! People will put the bird sound in when they want to make a point about Twitter without actually saying Twitter. With the lyrics mentioning kindness is no longer trending and then ignoring them anyway, I just thought I was Twitter.

I've been wondering about the bird.. Like I can see how this pure and free bird, versus the drill offers a dichotomy but in Korean the word for "bird" and for "new" is exactly the same so hmm, maybe that could be a part of it too? Though their previous labelmates GOT7's fandom was represented by a bird too so I am mostly thinking about that haha.

I loved this comeback so much and the whole album, it was iconic and powerful, the difference in release time this time is because the kids lost in time for this comeback finally signed to a US label, so a big focus is now on billboard graphics. . they now have a very good chance of debuting at number 1 with their first chart entry, and I just- yeah, no one is doing it like lost kids, honestly. Unfortunately, in that full group choreography scene, Han isn't there because he actually stretched a muscle while doing this choreography, so they decided not to make it worse and I think they improvised with him doing something less strenuous, alone. Felix developed a herniated disc after that and won't be dancing as much or doing all the moves on his comeback stages as he continues to heal and Changbim was recently diagnosed with covid. WE PRAY FOR OUR BABIES. 😔 Hope everyone has a successful and healthy comeback with no injuries. I loved camebeck, I loved the music, production, effects and etc... Stray Kids is outdoing itself with each mv and Bangcham being applauded for giving more visibility to the other members, his humility as a leader is what makes this group ONE OF THE BEST OF K-POP. Congratulations and thanks for the happy reaction. Kisses from BRAZIL.💋❤👏👏👏👏
