A great attempt. It is not easy to sing it when it has been already sung by someone., whether the original singer was a great singer or not. Since one is used to a particular rhyme and rhythm, any other singer copying it looks like a copier and a second version of the song. To me, Dhananjay Sahib has performed no less than the original singer in any sense. It is great of Dhananjay Sahib to have acknowledged the greatness of Sofi Sahib, who indeed was a gifted singer.

Wow! Such beautiful rendition! You stayed within the original composition and Sufi Saeb’s style (Mithaas) while incorporating all the improvisations!! Sufi Saeb was my only fav Kashmiri singer while growing up! No offense 🙏 As I became older I began to appreciate other singers too!
